"Sam!" yelled Rhys and Daniel, heading towards me. Rhys patted me on the back as I shook his hand.
"Where is she?", I asked, turning to Daniel now; my voice weighted with seriousness.
"Well, she's near the seats over there", he said pointing towards the wall blocking a private seating area, "...but I'm not sure you want to go there right at this...moment", he added with a hesitant tone. But it was too late; I was already pushing past the crowd, heading towards the seats, searching for Skye.
I turned the corner and faced two people on the seats.
There sat Candice. In Xavier's lap. Her tongue down his throat. His hand on her breast.
"What the fuck is going on here!?" I shouted over the blaring music.
They jumped and immediately stopped kissing, Xavier pulled his hands off her body and pushed her off his lap.
Candice stood there with her mouth wide open, her eyes wide in shock.
"Sam?", she said, "What...what are?...How are?...she stammered but soon found her words, "Baby, hey....", she moved towards me, attempting to place her arms around my neck.
"Get the fuck off me, Candice", I said, my threat immediately making her reprieve away from me.
"You", I said, narrowing my eyes onto Xavier.
"I've already dealt with you once for fucking with Skye, but here we are again, I can see you clearly didn't learn from the last time", I hissed, my fists clenched, adrenaline pulsing rapidly inside me.
He shook his head and stood up, edging towards me, "Well I'm ready for round two when you are", he responded aggressively.
I closed the distance between us, my body close to his, waiting to throw the first punch.
"Sam is it?", he spoke, a menacing smile abrupting from his mouth, "Just so you know, Skye and Candice....they both.....taste equally as sweet", he nodded now, a chuckle arose briefly from his throat.
My fist collided with his face and I felt his bones crunching under my knuckles. He thudded hard into my stomach and pushed me across the room, our bodies slamming into the wall where a mirror dropped and smashed into the ground. The music blared loudly, drowning out our punches. I fell down, crouching on the ground, and turned my face upwards as he landed a deep strike into me, my skin tore and blood spattered over his shirt and face. I grabbed him by his shirt and pulled him down towards me, rolling us over until I was once again on top of him, laying into his jaw. One crack. Two cracks. Three cracks. Candice screamed loudly as Skye rounded the corner. Skye stood there locked in one spot, her eyes already reddened. But her face drained of colour, overwhelmed by dread as she watched us.
"Sam!", Skye shrieked, running towards me. Daniel and Rhys eyeballed her, called out and tried to reach for her in their grasp "Skye, don't!" but it was too late. She gripped onto my shoulder blades, using all her weight to pull me off him. I was now deep in a frenzy, all I saw was blood and bone. Four cracks. Five cracks. Six cracks. I wanted to rip Xavier apart for what he had done. To Skye. Seven cracks, eight cracks. And now to Candice. Nine cracks. He lay there on the ground with his eyes closed, his body weightless against mine, his face now mangled and blood spilling out of the cuts covering his face and neck.
"Get the fuck off me", I bellowed as I felt the hands tighten around me. I forced myself to turn quickly and without thinking, my hand flew through the air, a loud crack erupted under my fist. She screamed loudly and her body dropped immediately to the ground.
I held my breath suddenly as I saw what I hit. Or who.
"Skye?", I uttered, the fury in my eyes instantly dissipating, replaced by a surge of shock.
She held her face, a large gash parted the skin on her face, blood spilled out, covering her hand and dripping down her dress.
I rose from Xavier's body and rushed towards Skye. I tried to say something but I was completely voiceless. What had I done?
Rhys and Daniel helped Skye up from the floor, they held napkins up to her face which her blood quickly soaked through too.
"Skye, I...I'm sor...".
"Back off, Sam", Daniel said, his eyes narrowed down on me, his hand pushing against my chest, stopping me from moving closer to her.
I watched as they walked her towards the exit of the club, my eyes followed their trail.
I snapped out of my trance as Candice spoke my name, her cold fingers now holding my hand. I looked down at her hand in mine and then looked up to her. I breathed angrily and pulled my hand away from hers just as four security guards approached us.
I put my hands up in the air near my shoulders, "I know", I spoke, shrugging "I'm leaving".
"No, this time you're going to the Police Station", said another voice behind Candice and I, two Police Officers now stood blocking me in.
"Fuck", I breathed, putting my head down as I felt the handcuffs tighten around my wrists.
