29: DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM?

Mackenzie's POV

     CIRO gave me an angry look before driving away. I used to think he always had a bored and sour vibe everyday but I was scrolling through social media today and it turned out he was such a big baby around his wife and beautiful daughter. I was only pulling his legs a little about it but he was being crotchety

I opened his present yesterday and it was a mini size teddy bear. When I asked him this morning about why he bought that, he told me his daughter loves teddy bears so he figured all girls like them too

I smiled at the memory and his meaningful gesture as I walked the rest of the way to school. I suddenly remembered to call Jay because I hadn't heard from him after Saturday night and it was Monday

"You finally remembered to call me" he said immediately he answered

"I could say the same to you"

"I didn't want to ruin your honeymoon" I could tell he was smirking "Tell me, how did it go?"

"How did you know that?" as far as I knew, I hadn't spoken to him after Dante pulled me out of the club

"I told you, you would like the end result of my plan"

"What plan?"

"I asked your friend to dance with you so I could send a picture of it to Dante" his voice told me he was smiling "And he took the bait"

"I thought your whole plan was for me to dance with Xavier"

"Checkmate" he said and I heard another person groan from his background

"Who's that?"

"Come back to bed baby" the voice said and it sounded awfully familiar

"Stop it Enzo! I need to get to work"

Enzo?

"Why are you with Enzo?" for someone who says he hates him, he seems to always be with Enzo

"He brought me to his place on Saturday night" I heard the water running

"And you're still with him? Did you spend the whole day with him yesterday?"

"Bye Kenz, I need to go" he rushed and hanged up. I'll find a way to have him spill everything to me when I meet with him again.

I got to school and decided to go to the library before my first class. I was met with three curious gazes at the library's entrance

"Hey guys"

"Where the hell have you been Mackenzie?" Celeste was the first to speak

"Umm home?"

"Don't lie to us Kenzie. We've been calling you since Xavier told us some strange man dragged you out of the club but your phone was off" Bryan said

Strange man? Dante isn't strange. More like handsome man

"Sorry I forgot to charge my phone" And that wasn't a lie because Dante didn't give me any reason to use my phone yesterday. We had talked, cooked, watched movies together and it got to a point where we had nothing else to say or do but it was really comfortable. He didn't also touch his phone or my body once...you know, in any sexual way cause I was still sore

"We were worried so we went to your house but neither you nor your cousin was there" Xavier said and I wondered why he had to tell Cele and Bryan about it

"We had met the old Chinese neighbor of yours uhh..."

"Mrs Huang" Bryan helped Cele

"Yes Mrs Huang and she said she barely sees you anymore"
