"SCARY STORIES GO!"

Second turned to look at Red, Purple and Yellow doing the same themselves. The boy had his arms flung out in the air, a look of pure excitement and evil written on his face.

Yellow, who was still holding a slight grudge against him, crossed his arms and turned away.

"Do you really believe any of your stories are scary?" He stated coldly, peering at Red through the corner of his eye. "They're all about animals going crazy."

"Hey! At least they are interesting!" Red shot back, lowering his arms as he gazed indignantly at Yellow.

"Interesting?" Yellow repeated, looking right back at him. "They're all stupid!"

Second opened his mouth, about to try and cut through the twos' bickering, but Purple placed a hand on his shoulder and shook his head.

"It's not worth it." Purple murmured, looking over at the two who were arguing with each other. "Yellow is sort of right...Red's stories aren't scary."

"Yeah..." Second agreed, turning to look at Purple so that the urge to stop the argument would go away. "The only one who was good at telling stories like that was Green..."

Silently, he turned to look at Green, who was sitting off to the side on the other end of the bench. It felt so wrong -- and although he was already like this for a while now, Second still wasn't used to this behavior. Even with a burning fire in front of him and a packet of s'mores perfectly in reach, Green didn't make a move for any of it, despite the fact that he loved food.

When this had first happened, at least Green had made some reaction to the stuff he loved. But now, he barely even looked in the direction of the s'mores, even though he loved eating them.

Purple followed Second's gaze, understanding immediately what Second was thinking.

"It's going to be alright...we're going to find a way to fix this." Purple said firmly, but when Second turned to look into his eyes, it was obvious that Purple wasn't sure of what he said himself.

Of course. They all missed their two friends. Sure, their bodies were here, but their minds were elsewhere, their whole personality seeming to have disappeared in a days' time.

Nonetheless, Second nodded and smiled. Their little moment, though, was broken when a sudden crash broke the silence of the night (if you can even call it silent with Yellow and Red bickering at each other in the background).

Second and Purple turned, staring at the sight of both Yellow and Blue on the ground. After taking one look at the guilty expression on Red's face, it was evident that Red had pushed Yellow into Blue by accident when they were arguing with each other.

Red made a move that looked as if he were about to try and help Yellow up, but then thought better of it and took a tentative step back. He crossed his arms stubbornly, trying to act as if he thought what he had just done wasn't that bad, although his face portrayed the complete opposite.

Yellow got up slowly, brushing himself off all the while he kept a trained gaze on Red. Unrelenting, he himself stayed stubborn as well. The twos' eye contact continued even as Yellow helped Blue up, both of them too stubborn to give in to the other.

Second face palmed. Never had an argument with those two lasted for this long before...or maybe he just wasn't paying that much attention before. Whatever it was, it was definitely getting on his nerves.

Suddenly, another noise caught the CG's attention. Five of them turned to see Green trying to touch the fire, an open packet of s'mores splayed on the ground, some of the s'mores having fallen out of the packet. It seemed that that was what had caused the noise, and lucky it did, for Second was just able to pull Green back before he could get his hand even closer to the fire than it already was.

"How did that even fall?" Purple questioned, eyeing the pack of s'mores. Second shrugged in response, struggling to hold Green back. For some reason, it seemed that Green was having some type of strong reaction even though there wasn't exactly anything to have set it off.

"A better question is, why is he even trying to touch the fire?" Second grumbled, finally managing to force Green to sit back down in his spot on the bench.

The group of friends fell silent, unsure of what to do. Their evening hadn't gone as planned so far, so what was the point?

It wasn't long before Yellow put out the fire, and the group was drowned not only in silence (now that the crackling of the flames was gone), but also darkness too.

"Alright. Time to go to sleep." Second said, standing up and squinting to look at each of his friends in the darkness of the night as the moon began to rise. "No complaints, Red. Your fault for bickering with Yellow the whole time."

Red, who had just been about to open his mouth and retort, immediately shut himself up and reluctantly dragged himself to his tent. Second was the next to follow suit, knowing that the longer he stayed out there, the more restless and frustrated he'd get. He didn't know why...ever since Green (and Blue) started acting so weirdly, their group was just falling apart, and he couldn't help but feel so upset. So downhearted.

Yellow and Purple helped Green and Blue go into their tents before going back to their own.

The silence continued to grow, enveloping the group of friends so tightly, it seemed that it could just swallow them up at this point. It was constricting them, suffocating them.

Dividing them. Breaking them.

Preventing them from being able to sleep peacefully. That is, preventing the ones that were trying to sleep.

Because that wouldn't account to someone who was going to try and stay up and awake all night, right?
