"Second...Second. Second. Second!"
Second started awake, sitting up in an instant. Unfortunately, his vision began to swim with the sudden movement, and it took a while before anything came into focus. When it finally did, though, he caught sight of both Purple and Green inside his tent.
Sending a questioning look at the both of them, he opened his mouth, about to say something, but Purple beat him to it.
"Green kept trying to leave. First he was trying to reach the fire, but now I'm not so sure..." Purple sent a glance at Green. "I'm exhausted...but at least he's still here and not passed out somewhere else."
It took a moment for everything to process before Second understood. Purple's firm grip on Green's arm also conveyed the same message. But why would Green's determination to try and leave be so great that it has to take one person to prevent him from leaving the entire night?
"But that wasn't what I came here to tell you." Purple said slowly, jolting Second from his thoughts. He paused, and it was obvious that he was thinking of how to word whatever it was.
Then he said, "Red's gone."
Second stared at him, his mind going blank. What?
Before Purple could continue, though, to make it all sound a little better, Green gave one good tug and escaped through the opening in Second's tent. It wasn't long before Second was left alone in his tent, for Purple had left to chase after Green.
Slowly, Second stood up and left his tent. The moment he stepped outside, he knew that something was definitely wrong.
Purple hadn't been lying. Red was obviously gone.
Because if he was here, there would definitely be a lot more noise (not saying that Red was loud. It was just....he was the opposite of quiet...yeah...). If he was here, there would be more of a positive mood than the one Second felt on the outside with the rest of his friends.
But as Second surveyed the scene in front of him, a feeling of slight anger began to rise up in him. Another one of his friends was gone, and probably going to go traumatized just like the last two.
And yet, the rest of his friends were here, going on as if nothing had happened?
Stewing in his bubbling anger, Second didn't realize that someone was walking toward him before they were standing right in front of him. Starting at the sudden sight of Yellow, his anger momentarily left.
"We were waiting for you, Sec." Yellow said. "If we are to find Red, then we should go now."
Second blinked. Then he nodded, the feeling of warmth slowly coming back to his body. His mind finally working properly.
"Go get the others. I need to think about this." Second muttered, immediately going to put his brain to use. Yellow nodded in response, and left to get the other three.
Five minutes later, the CG stood in a circle, all of them looking at Second for directions.
"Okay..." Second momentarily paused, watching as Green kept trying to tug away from Purple. He bit his cheek, trying to make sense of this behavior. "Now...that would be a problem..."
Purple gave one hard tug, his arms starting to ache as he tried his best to keep the struggling Green under control. He tried, but was hardly able to form words with the trouble of trying to prevent Green from escaping.
