Good morning! :)
Now lets look in on the CG's morning...
~~~
"When are they coming...?"
Second sighed. He turned to Red, who was sitting on a chair, relaxed so that his body was draped over the chair in such a way that to Second, he would think it to be uncomfortable. But Red had been in the position for half an hour, so Second guessed that he was okay.
"They are coming soon-" Second started, but he was cut off when he heard laughter. He turned, catching sight of two familiar faces.
Green and Purple made their way toward them, each holding a cookie. Red sat up immediately at the sight of them, eyeing the cookie with such ferocity that it immediately made the two friends uncomfortable.
Purple sat down across from Red, Green sitting down next to him. Purple reached into his bag, grabbing a box out. He opened it, showing off four cookies left inside. Red immediately reached over, grabbing one out without a word. Purple turned to Second, pushing the box toward him.
Second hesitated, but he also reached out and took a cookie. Now there were only two cookies left -- probably left for Blue and Yellow.
Second sat down next to Purple and Red, taking his sketchbook out. He flipped to an empty page (they were quite hard to find now), and he observed the morning sky and the sea. There was a lot of activity, even in the morning. Cars were plentiful, along with adults and screaming children.
The rising sun sent a gleaming trail through the water -- and the waters' ripples disturbed it somewhat, but that only made it look more peaceful and natural. It shone and sparkled like glitter, but the difference was that this scene was way better than anything made with glitter. Boats were already out on the water, rowing along peacefully. With a smile, Second thought about how he and his friends were going to be like those people on those boats -- once Blue and Yellow came, of course.
They were going to wait for as long as they needed. That's what friends are for, after all.
He grabbed out his trusty pencil and began sketching the scene in front of him. He had purposefully chosen to sit in between Purple and Red -- he got a better view that way.
It wasn't long before he got into the mode.
That is when everything is canceled out, and the only thing that Second could hear, see, and sense was his sketchbook and the thing he was sketching. Nobody could disturb him when he's this deeply focused.
Sometimes he wouldn't even realize what he was doing until someone snapped him out of his zone. In this case, that would be Red, who stood up, accidentally hitting the table and causing the box of cookies to bounce once.
Second looked up, blinking around in confusion. It took him a while to realize what had happened. Blue and Yellow were walking toward them. He looked down at what he had done.
He had captured the water, and the morning sun. He still needed to do the boats, but it was already pretty okay in his opinion. Of course, it could use some touch ups, but for now it'll be enough.
He placed his pencil and sketchbook in his bag, waiting with the others as Blue and Yellow advanced closer. Red had sat back down, impatiently waiting for the two friends to reach them.
Once the two friends finally reached their destination, Purple offered them each a cookie. Once they took it, Purple placed the box back in his bag.
Then the group of friends slowly made their way toward the boats.
There was already quite a line waiting for their turn. The group of friends got into the line, deciding to split into partnerships once again. This time, though, Purple and Second were in the front (because Purple was paying, and Second was technically the leader, so they decided to put them in the same group), Blue and Green in the middle, with Red and Yellow in the back.
The line advanced slowly. Each group would be able to have five hours on one boat -- which was pretty nice, but that would mean people would have to wait for way longer. That was why there were many different areas where you could choose a boat. Currently, the group of friends were in Section #7.
The minutes ticked by slowly. The sun rose steadily into the air, warming the group of friends. Perhaps warming them a little too much, because standing outside with absolutely no shade was starting to become a little intense. Especially since they were in quite a crowded area too.
Slowly the line moved forward.
Red crossed his arms, whispering to Yellow. "If only we got ice cream."
Yellow looked at him, laughing slightly while shaking his head. "We just got ice cream yesterday, Red. You can wait another couple of days, surely?"
Red huffed and didn't say anything more. Yellow rolled his eyes at Red's childish behavior.
Finally, after a long time of waiting, their group were the next to choose a boat. The group in front of them finally finished getting ready and left, and with a feeling of excitement, the group of six moved forward.
Second and Purple got into a random boat after paying, and the other four followed suit in their own boats. After what seemed like an hour of getting on life jackets and getting a lecture of what to do, the group were able to start rowing.
After a while of very friendly debate, it was decided that Purple would row while Second just sat being completely useless (/jk). On Green and Blue's boat, it was quite obvious who was going to row: Green. Yellow himself offered to row, seeing as Red just wanted to observe more than do the work, so he positioned himself before Red could even say a word.
He didn't mind anyway.
After another bit of time that felt like an hour to the group of friends, they were finally able to row off. Each group has been given a map of all the trails they can go on, and it was soon decided (after loads of screaming across at the others so that they could hear) that they all go on this route called "Get It On".
Second and Purple rowed first, followed by Green and Blue, with Yellow and Red following right after them. They continued to row -- it did say that the area they were entering was probably the most dangerous but most exciting at the same time seeing as it was very narrow and fast.
The group was up for adventure anyway.
And an adventure was what they'll get.
