It had been a few days since the incident. Cypher returned to his starship after being allowed out of the hospital with Winter assisting him. Upon returning, Nix materialised a hover chair so he wouldn't have to walk around with crutches. He was also provided with a hearing aid that when he wore he was able to hear completely fine. However, as for the others, they were notified that Cypher was fine and his Aura would heal him just like it was healing Yang's arm. However, despite all this, Winter still wasn't talking to Cypher and opted to just read in the library the majority of the time.

"Ms Schnee, Cypher needs you," Nix stated as Winter read a book in the library. "Tell him I'm busy," she sharply replied. "You are pathetic," Nix stated, causing Winter to put her book down.

"Excuse me?" Winter asked sternly with a raised eyebrow. "What do you think you're doing to his mental health when you're pushing him away like this?" Nix asked, causing Winter's stern expression to fall. "I know you're upset, but that is not an excuse to push Cypher away. He put his life on the line and almost died, and this is how you reward him?" Nix stated.

"Be quiet," Winter said, putting her head down in guilt. "Cypher needs you now more than ever. He needs to know that he's valued and that he's not the only one suffering. I thought you loved him," Nix stated.

Winter stood up, the chair she was sitting on falling to the ground from her sudden movement, "I do love him! But I-!..." Winter paused. "You what?" Nix questioned. "I was scared. I... don't want to lose him. And when the explosion happened, I... I felt like my heart had been destroyed just like he was," Winter continued, her voice low and tears threatening her eyes.

"I know you're afraid, but when you push your feelings down, you also push yourself down. Are you going to go back to your old ways of negating your emotions? Or are you going to be a better person and learn from your past instead of running from it?" Nix questioned, making Winter go silent in thought.

"I may not be human, but that doesn't mean I can't understand emotions. I think you should also take your own advice; emotions can grant you strength. But you must never let them overpower you. However, you shouldn't hide them, as they're what makes you you," Nix stated.

Winter knew Nix was right. Pushing Cypher away wouldn't protect her from the fear of losing him; it would only isolate them both in their pain.

She composed herself, taking a deep breath, "Thank you, Nix. Where is Cypher?" she asked. "In the Control Room, and it's my pleasure," Nix responded before going silent. Winter then exited the library, heading towards the Control Room.

Meanwhile, in the Control room, Cypher was sat staring out of a window as he looked down at Earth. He had just received news from his mother that she wanted him there for that Christmas. He didn't go before as his brother-in-law's side of the family didn't want him there after the Venice Incident, he also didn't attend as he had better things to do. So now he had to contemplate what things he should bring.
