BINI and Reverie were at the airport when ABS-CBN staff members approached them to apologize for the transportation mix-up that morning. Thankfully, you had your SUV on standby. Your family driver had left it at the camp in case of emergencies, just as your mother instructed.

You've been waiting for their flight to board for about 30 minutes. Having left the camp at 5:30 AM, it was now 7:30 AM, with your flight scheduled for 9:00 AM.

"How about a TikTok dance to pass the time?" Aiah suggested, turning to you.

You chuckled. "I already told you, I have two left feet."

"Come on, please?" Aiah pleaded, her eyes sparkling with amusement.

You couldn't resist her puppy-dog eyes. With a sigh of defeat, you nodded. Aiah let out a squeal of delight and threw her arms around you in a hug. "Yay!" she exclaimed as laughed at her.

The other girls and your bandmates watched the exchange with a mix of amusement and curiosity – everyone except Colet.

"What's gotten into them?" Donny whispered to Stacey, his gaze fixed on you and Aiah as you fumbled through the dance steps.

Stacey shrugged. "Y/N said she was trying to end their playful bickering."

"Totoo pala ang himala," Sheena chimed in, a hint of laughter in her voice.

Maloi added, "Ang cute nilang dalawa."

Jhoanna chimed in with an agreeing hum.

Sheena and Gwen exchanged a knowing glance and high-fived. "Totally ship them!" one of them declared, sending ripples of laughter through their group.

Mikha couldn't help but feel a pang of something akin to jealousy. She wished it were her dancing with Aiah, not you. But instead, she just rolled her eyes and retreated behind her headphones, shutting out the playful scene unfolding before her.

"Uhhh please don't upload that," you mumbled, scrolling through the newly recorded TikTok video with Aiah.

Aiah laughed. "Why not? Ang galing mo nga eh" she teased while copying your horrible dance moves.

"Shut up," you countered with a playful roll of your eyes. You reached for the phone, attempting to delete the video.

Aiah, however, was quicker. She snatched the phone back, leading to a playful tug-of-war. Laughter filled the air as you both grappled for control of the phone – you, trying to delete the video, and Aiah, determined to upload it.

The others watched the lighthearted exchange, their curiosity piqued.

"I've never seen Y/N like that around anyone else," Stacey observed.

Colet, with a knowing smirk, nudged her Maloi. "There's definitely something there. Sparks, even."

Donny's playful interjection – "Speaking of sparks," he said, glancing at Colet and Maloi – earned him a pair of startled looks. The unexpected comment silenced the girls momentarily, but the tension was quickly replaced by laughter.

-

You disembarked in Palawan at precisely 11:00 AM. Slinging your backpack onto your shoulders, you helped Aiah with her suitcase as you exited the plane.

"Thanks," Aiah said, her smile bright and sweet.

"Crowded plane," she observed as you navigated the throng of passengers. She reached out, placing a hand on your arm to stay close amidst the throng. The touch sent a subtle warmth to your cheeks, a secret blush you managed to hide.

Emerging from the airport, you and Aiah searched for any ABS-CBN staff members who might guide you. Neither of you were familiar with the area. You tried calling Stacey, but her phone went straight to voicemail. Aiah mirrored your actions with her groupmates, receiving the same frustrating silence.

A flicker of anxiety crossed Aiah's features. "What now?" she asked, her voice laced with worry.

You met her gaze with a reassuring smile. "Don't worry" you said. "We'll grab a ride and find a nearby hotel. We can book a room there."

Taking charge, you held her suitcase in one hand and gently grasped her hand on the other. The warmth of her skin lingered in your touch as you led the way outside. While Aiah continued dialing her friends, her anxiety visibly lessening with your calming presence as you booked a Grab car.

"I've got you, Yang," you murmured, the nickname slipping out effortlessly. Aiah's lips curved into a genuine smile in response. With you by her side, a sense of calm washed over her.

Soon enough, your cab pulled up, whisking you both away to the comfort of a hotel.

When the both of you settled into your hotel room, you glanced at the clock - 1:00 PM already. You tried calling your friends again, but their phones remained unanswered.

Turning to Aiah, you suggested, "Why don't you get comfortable? We can head out to the island for tomorrow."

Aiah nodded and retreated to change into more comfortable clothes. As she settled onto the bed, you remained seated beside her, phone pressed to your ear, still trying to reach Stacey and Donny.

Aiah's gaze drifted towards you. "You seem awfully calm about being lost on an unfamiliar island," she said, you chuckled at her.

"Getting lost isn't exactly new to me. When I was a kid, I got separated from my family in Rizal Park during my first time to Manila. I remember crying hysterically, searching for them in that massive crowd." She opened up,a frown replaced your chuckle as the memory resurfaced. You realized your laughter might have been insensitive.

Aiah, sensing your shift in mood, continued, "It was terrifying. The park was packed, and I felt suffocated. Thankfully, a kind family helped me find my parents. That's why I get so anxious in unfamiliar places." A tear welled up in her eye, which she quickly brushed away.

Seeing her vulnerability, your heart ached. You understood now why she clung so tightly to your arm earlier at the airport. With a gentle touch, you took her hand in yours.

"My grandfather used to say that once you can read, you'll never truly be lost," you offered, hoping to comfort her. You offered a warm smile.

"That's probably why I pushed myself to learn how to read at a young age," you continued. "And hey, it'll be alright this time. You've got me, remember?"

Aiah's grip on your arm tightened, and she scooted closer, pulling you down beside her on the bed. She wrapped you in a tight embrace, murmuring a grateful "thank you."

"I don't know what I would have done without you," she whispered against your shoulder.

In that moment, a silent promise bloomed within you: you would never let Aiah feel that kind of fear and loneliness again.
