A jolt of numbness woke you the next morning. It originated from your left arm - Aiah was using it as a pillow, her head resting peacefully upon it. With a careful touch, you freed your arm and gently slipped a pillow beneath hers. You went out the room then descend the stairs, you decided to whip up a delicious breakfast.
The refrigerator door swung open, revealing a bounty of options. Hotdogs and bacon immediately caught your eye. You preheated the stove on low and set a frying pan to sizzle. Soon, the enticing aroma of sizzling meat filled the air. Once cooked to perfection, the hotdogs and bacon found their place on a waiting plate on the table.
Next, you turned your attention to fluffy pancakes. Flour, baking powder, and eggs were gathered, swiftly transformed into a smooth batter. The batter danced on the hot pan, forming golden rounds as it cooked. When golden brown and fluffy, the pancakes joined their comrades on the table.
Finally, two steaming cups of black coffee completed the breakfast spread. You couldn't wait to see Aiah's reaction to the feast.
You went upstairs to wake Aiah up, "Aiah, kain na tayo," you said softly, gently nudging her shoulder.
"Mmm... five more minutes, Y/N/N," she mumbled, her voice thick with sleep.
Your breath hitched at the unexpected nickname. A warmth spread across your cheeks, a reaction you couldn't quite explain.
"Don't make me carry you towards the bathroom again," you conceded, a playful smile tugging at your lips.
A shocked glint appeared in her eyes. She stood upright a little too quickly, losing her balance for a moment. Before she could tumble backward, you instinctively reached out, your hands catching her arms.
Time seemed to stand still. You were inches apart, her surprised expression giving way to a playful smile. You helped her steady herself, a nervous chuckle escaping your lips.
"Ready ka na, let's eat," you told her, releasing her.
Aiah's smile widened, a hint of something unspoken passing between you. "Okay," she agreed, heading towards the bathroom.
You head downstairs and went straight to the kitchen, you leaned against the counter, letting out a soft sigh.
This girl's going to be the death of you.
Aiah padded downstairs and settled into a chair, the aroma of coffee already reaching her nose. "Y/N, breakfast looks amazing!" she exclaimed, taking a sip of her coffee.
You slid into the seat beside her, piling a generous portion of bacon and hotdogs onto her plate before serving yourself. She savored the scent of the coffee for a moment before taking another satisfied sip.
"Wow, I never knew you had such cooking skills," she admitted between bites of bacon.
A playful grin spread across your face. "There's a lot of things you don't know about me, Aiah."
"Oh, I plan to find out everything," she declared with mock seriousness, pointing her fork playfully at you. You chuckled, a comfortable silence settling between you as you continued eating.
"Coffee in the morning is a must for me," Aiah announced, breaking the silence.
"Speaking of mornings," she continued, a thoughtful look replacing her playful one, "what time did Ezra say he'd pick us up?"
You glanced at her, catching a glimpse of a mischievous glint in her eyes before she popped another piece of food in her mouth.
"Didn't your parents ever teach you chewing with your mouth closed?" you teased, unable to resist a playful jab.
She winked at you, her mouth full. "And didn't yours teach you not to stare?"
A retort formed on your lips - something about appreciating beauty - but you swallowed it back, a smile tugging at your lips instead. You rolled your eyes playfully.
"Ezra said around 10 AM," you replied.
The clock ticked its way to 10:00 AM, the anticipation buzzing in the air. A knock on the door startled you and Aiah from your morning routine. There stood Ezra, a familiar grin plastered across his face. He greeted you both with the secret handshake you'd created as kids - a series of intricate hand claps and high fives that sparked a wave of nostalgia.
"Ready for some adventure, cuz?" he boomed, his voice echoing in the room.
You and Aiah exchanged amused glances. It was amazing how even after years, some things never changed. After a quick round of goodbyes and thanks to the caretakers, Ezra bundled you and Aiah into his car.
The road stretched out before you, a ribbon of asphalt winding through lush greenery. The familiar sights of Palawan unfolded - towering coconut palms swaying in the breeze, vibrant flowers bursting with color, and the occasional glimpse of the turquoise coastline shimmering in the distance.
"Get some sleep," Ezra advised, glancing at you then turned his attention back on the road, "It's a long drive, and you wouldn't want to be exhausted when we reach the venue."
With a nod of agreement, you leaned back in your seat, letting the rhythmic hum of the engine lull you into a gentle slumber. Before drifting off completely, you sent a quick message to Stacey, letting her know you were finally on your way and safe.
The sun hung high in the sky when you pulled into the venue at 1:00 PM. You and Aiah stretched your stiff limbs and stepped out, greeted by a flurry of activity. The staff, apologetic for the airport mishap, ensured a smooth transition for you and the girl group, BINI.
The day unfolded in a whirlwind of content creation. Collaborations bloomed as The Reverie and BINI embarked on a joint vlog project. You filmed captivating travel guides, highlighting hidden gems, thrilling activities, and delectable food experiences for anyone venturing to the paradise that was Palawan.
By the time the last shot was captured, the sun was dipping below the horizon, painting the sky with fiery hues. Laughter and camaraderie filled the air as you and BINI headed back to the camp, a sense of excitement crackling around you.
The staffs briefed you on the upcoming schedule. Tomorrow was a well-deserved rest day, a chance to relax and recharge before diving into the intensive training regime. You and your bandmates grinned. Yours would primarily focus on honing your vocals, with some additional instrumental practice sprinkled in.
However, a mischievous glint flickered in the staff's eyes as he turned to BINI. "Get ready, girls," he announced, a hint of a challenge in his voice. "The training for you involves pushing your limits - dance routines that'll leave you breathless and vocals that will captivate hearts."
The girls exchanged determined glances, a spark of fire ignited within them. They were a talented group, and they wouldn't back down from a challenge. The coming days promised a whirlwind of activity, pushing both The Reverie and BINI to new heights. And you, caught in the heart of it all, couldn't wait to see what adventures awaited
