(A/N: This will be a longer chapter than usual, but you'll see why soon. Hope you enjoy!)

*Josiah POV*

"This world is so... different," I said to no one in particular as I was exploring the nearby areas.  "Mom could definitely be here somewhere."

You may think that all I want is to find our mom, but the truth is: all of my siblings miss her.  She's been M.I.A for about 6 years now, and we have no idea where she is or why she went missing.  All we know is that when she started M.O.M. 6 years ago, she found a Raelo and never came back.

(A/N: They never actually started this 6 years ago.  I made this up for lore in future chapters.  😉)

Back to surviving, I knew (like most of my brothers) that I needed materials to keep myself better protected from the monsters that come out at night or in caves. I started to gather a bunch of necessities such as wood, food, tools, coal, and stone.

When I realized that I couldn't see as well, I looked up to see the sun setting. I shed a tear, remembering the last memory I shared with my family before our mom disappeared with the Arxis...

*Flashback 6 years ago (still Josiah's POV)*

"Kids, there's something that I have to tell you," my mom said.

It was around sunset. We were walking down a sidewalk next to the beautiful park that was our favorite place to hang out. We were all around nine to twelve years old at this time (except for Shiloh, she was about seven), so we didn't know how serious this conversation would be.

"What is it, mom?" a twelve-year-old Elijah asked. "You have to promise me that you will NOT tell a single soul about what I am going to say," she said in a deadly tone. Our mom never got as serious as she is now, so we knew it was life or death for us if we disobeyed.

"We promise," we said just as sternly. Even Judah, who was normally the goofy one of the group and didn't really take a lot seriously.

"Okay," she sighed. "I really didn't want it to have to come like this... you know how your teachers in school tell you that there's only one universe?" "Yeah...?" I responded reluctantly.

"Well, they're wrong. There are many, MANY others. Maybe even an infinite amount. And I've discovered a way to discover all of them.

"I call them Raelos'" she explained. "These Raelos' are different worlds in different universes that are nothing like ours. They contain evil creatures and humans with powers beyond our comprehension. To access these worlds, you first have to connect a signal from the Raelo to the Arxis, which is like a portal to get to the Raelo but, you know, not one."

She was about to continue when Daniel interrupted: "How do you connect the signal from the other world to the Raelo to activate the Arxis?"

"I was about to get to that," our mom answered. "Someone from the Raelo eventually sends the signal from what I call a "Beacon". The Beacon will send a signal to the Arxis, which we access from our high-tech computer, which is connected to all of the Raelos' when someone types in a specific code.  Once a human types in the correct codes to access the specific Raelo they want to go to, the Arxis will activate, leading to the Raelo where the Beacon came from."

"Why are you telling us this? We're not even teenagers yet," asked Micah. "Because I want you to know that if I ever enter a Raelo and never come back, I need all of you to come help me. This might be—"

*WOOSH!*

"Mom... what is that?!" cried Elijah as he pointed behind her.

She looked behind her. The Arxis had appeared out of thin air.

(A/N: This is not real in the Shiloh and Bros lore. I don't actually know if it can materialize anywhere.)

"That's the Arxis that I told you about. Now GO! Run as fast as you can!" she shouted, throwing us all out of the way.

"I love you all so much. Please, rescue me," she shed a tear, but said so calmly. The Arxis sucked her in, and we never saw her again.

"MOM!" we all cried. We tried running into the portal, but it deactivated as soon as I got to it and vanished.

"What do we do?!" I panicked as I faced my siblings in shock. "Call the police?"

"And say what? That a portal to who-knows-where just 'poof' appeared, took our mom, and peace-ed out?! They're never gonna believe us!" Daniel argued. "Well we have to do something!" countered Judah. "We could most definitely never see mom again!"

"Elijah? Are you okay?" asked Shiloh quietly. We all turned and faced him. He was half in shock and half in strategizing-ly daydreaming.

(A/N: Can someone imagine this please? I don't know if this is even possible. I'm thinking like a one raised eyebrow and a jaw drop kind of face.)

"I don't even really know what happened, but we have to get mom back for sure," he got himself back together. "We have to find a way to locate that same exact Raelo."

*Flashback end (still Josiah POV)*

And since then, we've been trying to find each and every single Raelo.

I wiped away the tear. "We'll find you real soon mom. I promise."
