*Josiah POV*
"Which way did I come from?" I scratched my head in confusion.
I was lost in a cave, trying to find the most valuable ore: diamond. I haven't had much luck, however, as I only have enough to make a sword and a pickaxe. Although they were definitely helpful, I was mainly trying to make armor to protect myself and help my family.
If I ever see them again, I thought, depressed. I was starting to feel lonely. This cave has been eerily quiet for the past few days I've been lost in here.
(A/N: Remember, Minecraft days are not as long as Earth's are. There are only 5 minutes of daytime and 5 minutes of nighttime.)
Normally in the game, the cave would make random and creepy ambience noises that catch you off guard when you are careless. Not to mention all of the zombies growling, skeletons crackling, and spiders hissing and clicking.
I haven't heard anything in this cave. It was as if the world didn't want anyone in here for some reason...

(A/N: Now play the song "Salvation is Coming" by Eoin Mantell on YouTube because it's not on Spotify for some weird reason...)
I found out why.
I ran out of torches, so I was just blindly spelunking. After wandering aimlessly through the empty cave for what felt like hours, I found an unnaturally flat wall that had a suspicious button that I just barely noticed.
This could either kill me, trap me, or reveal a secret room, I thought.
"Please don't kill me. Please don't kill me. Please don't kill me," I pleaded with my eyes closed as I pressed the button.
(*Insert sticky piston noises here*)
I peeked one eye open and immediately closed it again, due to them being used to the dark cave and not ready for the bursting light that came from the other side of the wall.
I squinted my eyes tightly and readied myself for whatever was in that room.
"Oh no..." I whispered.
I stood in front of a strange altar that I knew all too well. There were 9 blocks of gold that were placed in a 3 by 3 in the center of the small room, with a piece of Netherrack on the center block. There were also 4 redstone torches on each middle block in the front, back, and both of the sides.
Thankfully, whoever built this didn't light the piece of Netherrack on fire (fire never runs out of flame on Netherrack unless a human puts it out), because if they had, well... let's just say that the outcome wouldn't be in our favor.
I saw something else in the room too. It was a chest. I really didn't want to open it, but curiosity got the better of me.
Fortunately, I was unharmed opening it and found an enchanted book. "Is this some sort of enchantment?" I murmured to myself, confused.
I wanted to be right. I really wanted to be right. I wasn't.
The book was titled "Lord Herobrine" and the author was "Unknown". I opened it, and what I found was horrifying:
"Lord Herobrine,
Please accept this humble offering of the necessary 4 sacrifices to unleash your powers across all Raelos'. Spare us, so we may assist you in this great time of monarchy."
And that was it.
"I have to find the others now," I said as I rushed out of the cave, the book in tow.
