*Micah POV*
"Woah! This cave is crazy cool!" I said as we splashed into the little stream of water to break our fall.
The stone from higher up turned into a darker, more tougher block to break: Deepslate. There was a huge opening for this cave and everywhere along the walls and near the ceiling were a bunch of Glow Lichen. I really hated those vines; I always thought they were diamonds before I saw the light that emitted from them.
But what I was most worried about were the mobs. Because this cave was covered with layers and layers of stone, there wasn't any sunlight to protect us from the zombies and skeletons that burn if the sunlight touches them. We had to be extra careful about what we do.
As if Judah read my mind, he warned: "We can't mess this up. We may only get one shot at this."
"Um, Judah...? Don't look to your right..." I pointed. There was a dark bluish-greenish block that I could just barely see. These blocks may look pretty, but they can be extremely deadly if you aren't careful.
Judah looked to his right because of course he would. "Skulk!" he worriedly whispered. "And we don't have any wool. We used it all on our beds!"
"We gotta go back up and get some more. We do have shears, so we could make a sheep farm if we need," I suggested. "That sounds like a good idea. Let's go get prepared," Judah replied.
So, we went back up to the surface and started our wool grind.
* * *
After a couple days of making a huge sheep pen, shearing sheep, and getting better armor and tools, we had so many stacks of wool to feel prepared enough to take on the Deep Dark. Unfortunately, we still haven't met up with any other of our siblings yet, but hopefully they're alright.
"Okay Judah. Even with all the wool we have, we still need to be extremely careful," I said as we approached the skulk. "Oh, yeah. This was the most sensitive block in the game back when it was just a game," he answered.
"You ready for this?" I asked. "... not at all. But I was ready to not be ready, so it doesn't count. Let's do this," he reasoned.
We treaded carefully into the dangerous biome, the most ready we could ever be.
