Graduation Party Morning

Mickey Milkovich decided it was only right for them to throw a graduation party for Felicity that weekend. He was having to plan a lot of parties lately. He had to plan one for Yev's birthday and for Oliver's coming up official adoption. It'll only be a few weeks until Olli is officially signed as theirs.

It's exciting. He can hardly believe it himself, but the grey hairs popping up on his head recently are a friendly reminder of his kids.

Mickey only had a few people over. Nothing too officially crazy. Mickey invited Jake, Phoebe, Fletcher, along with most of the Gallaghers and Hermmann's family. Debbie couldn't go because she worked that weekend and Fiona said she would come later, so it was mainly just Carl, Lip, Frannie, and Liam. Mandy couldn't make it either because her and Lip went through another breakup and she couldn't "bear to see her ex, so I'm sorry, Mickey."

Bunch of bullshit in his opinion but oh well.

When Felicity got up that morning, Mickey was already at her door.

"Morning, Dad.

"Morning, Rugrat. Breakfast is ready downstairs and I've made your favorite," he rambled. "And you have to put these on." He handed her two necklaces that said graduate of 2022, one colored gold and the other silver. He also handed her sunglasses.

(a/n: Had to calculate what two years from 2020 would be. Maybe my blond hair does go to my brain cells).

"The only people who wear sunglasses are blind people and douchebags, Dad."

"Just wear the fucking glasses. That shit was fifteen bucks. Wear it for the aesthetic. Do it for the vine," Mickey argued. "And I understood that reference."

"Please tell me you didn't just say 'do it for the vine'," Felicity cringed, but Mickey was already running down the stairs. Oliver then appeared at her door, wearing a gold necklace with "class of 2022" on it.

"Dad's making everyone wear them," Oliver explained. "Yev's wearing a hat and Ian's wearing a t-shirt that says "Proud Dad of a 2022 Graduate" in rainbow."

Felicity laughed. "They're going all out."

Oliver shrugged. "It's well deserved. You did a good job and we're all very proud of you," we Oliver then smiled. "Plus, our dads are goofy. It's literally gonna be amusing and fun."

"Yeah, you're right," Felicity agreed. "When'd you get so smart, Pipsqueak?"

"I've had a pretty good mentor," Oliver shrugged while smirking. "And an amazing family."

Felicity playfully rolled her eyes. Yev was next to hug her as he came running at full speed. He was decked out in fake gold costume jewelry from the necklaces seen around Mardi Gras to the blinged out 2022 sunglasses. He was wearing his favorite Bluey and Bingo hoodie along with it all.

It was hard to believe Yev wasn't so young and small anymore. As a third grader, he was on the verge of a growth spurt and seemingly taller, although not much more mature. His hair wasn't as light and white as it used to be, now just a golden color. His interests changed a little and although he still likes dinosaurs, he now likes robotic stuff and frogs. Yev occasionally played a sport like baseball, but liked to be in clubs like academic bowl. Bluey though, was a family wide obsession for them.

"Yev, you almost knocked me over," Felicity laughed.

"Oops, sorry. Hehe. I'm just so excited. We get to eat cake today!"

"I know, buddy."

"And we talk about you and stuff. I get to play in the backyard while the grownups talk."

Felicity just nodded and told Yev she loved him before shooting him out to get dressed. Felicity wanted to look nice since it was a party for her. While there wasn't a specific dress code, Fliss didn't want to show up in a two sizes too big "you're killing me, smalls" shirt and gym shorts. Felicity decided to throw on a short sleeved flowery blouse and some jeans. Business casual would have to do. Felicity also put on light makeup for it was hot outside and she didn't want to sweat a whole face of it off. She then slipped on the two necklaces and sunglasses Mickey got for her.

She went downstairs for breakfast. The made sausage, gravy, and biscuits with a few pancakes for whoever wanted them. They were mostly for Yev.

"Mine looks like a dead guy," Yev joked.

Ian went over to Felicity and kissed her on the head. "Morning, Sunshine. You sleep well?"

"Of course, Papa. I try to get at least eight hours."

Gabriel the dog was walking around her, having finished up his breakfast while sneakily being fed bits of bacon by Oliver. Gabriel nipped at Felicity's heels, an indicator he wanted to be picked up. Felicity kneel down to pick up the fluff ball. She kissed his fluffy head.

"Morning to you too, Gabe."

He yipped a bit and then licked her face before squirming to be let down.

"Finally decided to come down here, Sleeping Beauty?" Mickey poked fun at her. He was indeed wearing some crazy class of 2022 stuff. A headband with it printed on there. A gold chain as well.

"Good morning to you, too, Dad," Felicity rolled her eyes. She grabbed herself a biscuit and smothered it in gravy. "What's on the agenda for today?"

"The party, of course, but just beware people are gonna gift you things. I think Liam got you a pet rock or something and your favorite uncle did get you something big, even though I told him not to worry about something wild. He loves you so I let it be. I dunno if Carl got something..."

"He said he didn't," Ian chimed in.

"Last time he said that, he got my kids a bounce house, Carrot Top. And he got my parking tickets forgiven."

"Fair. Continue."

"Hermmann got you something from his family I believe and then I have no clue with your friends. I'm sure Phoebe got something because she's Phoebe and she one time stole my pop tarts but got me a new box in forgiveness but I have no idea with Jake or Fletcher."

Felicity nodded. "Sounds like it's gonna be a fun day."

"Uhm, duh, rugrats. I've got a speech planned and food getting delivered here and all sorts of things but I gotta decorate too. And pick up the cake."

"Cake?"

"Yeah, Blue's Clues. Cake. I'll actually let you go pick it up. You can take the car. Just don't crash it."

"Yeah,  yeah," Felicity brushed off. "I got this, Dads. You can trust me."
