After a short moment of silence, the boys couldn't help but to cheer loudly, celebrating the joy of surviving the incident. They had struggled through the exhilarating night, and their clan's reinforcement had finally came. Even if they'd be punished because of reasons such as "being discourteous and making noise is harmful to the clan's reputation," they didn't care.

As soon as he heard the two faraway strums of the zither, Wei WuXian turned around and began to leave. Lan zhan's eyes moved in the direction where Wei wuxian was hiding. Lan zhan gazed at the left side of his chest where his heart was beating fast for some unknown reason.

Lan zhan was trying hard to keep expressionless face and not to show how devastated he was feeling currently either it is because future Wei wuxian doesn't want to meet his future self or present Wei wuxian doesn't want to stay with Lan zhan. He is not a fool to understand what Wei wuxian was trying to do, he knows Wei wuxian is trying to avoid him that was making him feel terrible.

He couldn't control himself and gazed at Wei wuxian who was already looking at him. Their eyes met and this time Wei wuxian saw a wave of sadness in Lan zhan's eyes for a moment but he hided immediately. Wei Wuxian opened his mouth to say something but Lan zhan immediately averted his gaze. Lan zhan closed his eyes and started meditating.

Master lan wanted to scold juniors for breaking the rule but controlled himself as he tried to understand their happiness and relief which they got from hanguang-jun's arrival in such a dangerous situation. He looked at lan zhan to see his reaction but found him meditating.

Nei huaisang looked at juniors " you all must be terrified after this and must have not went to night hunt at least for a month" said with fear.

Jin ling laughed " it's not like that, while returning from there they went to catch soul consuming goddess "

" What??? " Shouted Nei huaisang in shock. " What is there to get shock, they are responsible kid not like you who is always playing with birds and fans " scolded Nei mingjue his brother for being immature.

"Da ge when you are with me, I don't need to take responsibility of anything. " Nei huaisang whined to his brother. Juniors looked at eachother and felt bad for Nei brothers.

Lan zhan felt someone's fingers in between his fingers, he looked at his brother to ask why he was doing this but found someone else sitting near him. His eyebrows twitched in confusion and he looked back, found  smiling lan xichen. His eyes held the question " when did you change your seat with Wei Ying "

Lan zhan again looked at Wei wuxian then their hand, he tried to free his hand making Wei wuxian pout " Lan zhan "

" Why are you troubling wangji ? " Said master lan sticktly. Wei Wuxian turned to him with a smile " because I have all the rights to trouble him "

" Stay away from him and go, sit where you were sitting earlier "

Wei Wuxian got closer to lan zhan while almost sticking his body to lan zhan like master lan will steal lan zhan from him" young master Wei don't mind uncle " said lan xichen with his usual smile.

" Lan xichen you will receive punishment for disrespecting your elder " shouted master lan in frustration as his family only troubling him along with that brat.

Is he returned to living or is his soul here. " Lan zhan looked here and there to scan the place. His eyes landed on the back of a person who was running away from there.
