A Way Out

How it goes

I ran like hell, dodging everything and hid behind a truck. I watched in horror as every single one of my friends got dragged in line by Janson. Instead of crying I came up with a plan. I know I promised Minho but I made a promise to myself. I would not lose anyone else.

"Where's Thomas? Kendra?" Janson asked.

Thomas came out of hiding and said, "Right here," holding up his hands.

I watched as Janson punched Thomas in the gut and then said, "Now where is your pretty little sister? Hm. Minho?" Janson looked to Minho and Minho said, "You touch her and I will fucking kill you."

Janson tutted and said, "Now now, no need for the prophanity. Scam the premise. We are not leaving here until Kendra is found!"

We watched as a ship landed on the ground and Ava Paige walked out. The guards began to pull the kids up and I swore. I watched as Teresa stood side by side Ava and my eyes went wide. Bitch. I watched as the doctor I met, Mary, get shot and Vince let out a heart breaking scream. I watched as multiple guards swarmed the premise. 

I watched a guard turn the corner and I kicked him where it hurts and shot him and came out of hiding, shooting four more guards. "Hello boys. Doctor." I said.

Janson smirked as a dozen more guards surrounded me. I turned and looked around. I looked to Minho who looked at me in disbelief. I shook my head and he put his head down. I locked eyes with thomas and he nodded.

"Kendra, you had me worried there for a second." Janson said.

"Y'know I never like you, called you rat man infact." I said. 

Janson said, "That's unfortunate then." 

I looked at a guard who inched closer to me. I shot two guards infront of me and turned around and kicked two guards behind me off their feet. I came back up and kicked one in his gut, turning and shooting another. I head butted one who grabbed my shoulder and shot him then kick one where it hurts and shot the other two. Then I grabbed one guards hand and twisted it, probably breaking it from how he screamed and one came and elbowed me in the face and I grabbed his elbow and tured him on the ground and shot him then I shot two more. I wiped my bleeding nose and spit on one of the guards. 

I looked back to Janson and he smirked, "Impressive." 

"Kendra. That is enough. Come with us, stop fighting." Paige said. 

I rolled my eyes, "Oh please, that speech may have woked on this bitch over here but it won't work on me." I said, motioning towards Teresa at the 'bitch' part. 

Then I watched as guards started to get closer to me and Thomas yelled, "Everyone back!" I saw him holding a trigger to a bomb. Minho rushed over to me and cupped my face and studied me. 

"You're hurt." He muttered. 

"I'm fine." I said. 

"That was pretty badass. stupid, but badass." He said. 

I smiled and grabbed his hands with mine. I touched our foreheads together and wiped a tear that fell down his face. We savored this for a moment before running over to Thomas. I put a hand on his shoulder and I said, "I'm with you Thomas, we're twins remember? You're kinda stuck with me." 

He nodded and Minho said, "Do it Thomas." 

Newt and Fry stood with us and Newt said, "We're with you." while fry said, "We're ready." 

"Thomas!-" Ava screamed but was cut off by the horn blowing of a truck. 

I turned towards the truck and saw- Jorge? I knew I liked that guy. He rammed into a helicopter and I laughed a little. Minho grabbed my hand and we ran. We hid behind a truck and he said, "You still got some fight in you?" 

I smirked and said, "Always." He nodded and he ran and came back a moment later and handed me a gun and he had a gun. We started to shoot at some of the guards. And then we ran out and started shooting at a guy who was attacking Newt. Minho and I went back to back, shooting at guards. 

There were four more guards and I saw over my shoulder. Minho was still reloading and I yelled, "Minho!" and i jumped infront and shoved Minho out of the way and got shot by the immobilizer.

My entire body shook as the bolts ran through my body and I fell to the ground and my mind went blank and I felt people grabbing me but I couldn't stop them. 

- Third Person POV - 

"No!" Minho yelled as he watched Kendra get dragged away, he went to run after her but Jorge grabbed Minho and pulled him back from letting himself get captured. Then Thomas went to go and Jorge threw him back. 

"No! You will get captured." Jorge yelled. 

"Kendra!" Thomas yelled as he dropped to his knees. 

"Let go of me!" Minho pleaded, tears running down his face, he was thrashing in Jorges arms, desperate to get to Kendra. Even if he got captured, it wouldn't matter. He just needed to reach her. 

Minho watched as Kendra got pulled away by two guards and he yelled, "She promised me! No!" 

"Minho stop!" Jorge yelled. 

"He's going to get shot!" Brenda yelled. 

"I'm sorry for this," Newt said, before hitting Minho in the head with a metal pole, and Minho went unconscious. 

Thomas was kneeling, unmoving, his head in his hands as the ship flew away, holding the only family he had left. His mind was racing and he heard Brenda yell, "Thomas we have to go!" 

He looked at her with tears in his eyes and Brenda lifted him up and brought him behind a truck where Newt and Fry dragged an unconcious Minho and Thomas said, "She's gone."
