Seraphine lay in her bed cuddled up to Spider's chest, the two stared at the movie playing on her laptop blankly. Spider was tracing shapes on her hip while Sera did the same on his chest, he kissed her forehead lightly causing her to look up to him. they looked into one another eyes before connecting their lips in a heated kiss. Sera moved her hand down from his chest just to the top of his pants, Spider grabbed her wrist pulling away from their heated make out, "um what are you doing?" he asked looking at her, she raised an eyebrow pulling her hand out of his grasp. "I'm just trying to help you out?" Spider coughed awkwardly getting off the bed, "You know I need to go" Sera kneeled on the bed facing him, she held his hands lightly, "Hey, we don't have to. We can just kiss I'm chill with whatever" she smiled softly at him, Spider just sighed sitting on the edge of his bed. Sera crawled onto his lap playing with the short hairs on the back of his neck "I'm not gonna force you to do anything you don't want to" Spider nodded sliding a hand from her waist to wrap in her dark hair and push her lips to his forcefully, he stood turning them to lay down on the bed. he pulled away before smiled at her and reconnecting their lips.

8:12 am

Malakai?"

"Yep."

"Harper?"

"Darren?"

"Here."

"Ca$h?"

Sera turned in her seat noticing the absent Eshay, she faced the front again grabbing Spider's hand, he just stayed on his phone not listening but gave her hand a light squeeze. Miss Obah continued with her lesson after the roll, Seraphine's knee was bouncing worriedly, she knew Ca$h had sent Harper the video, he told her the night before and she knew the cops would be after him. "I'd like us to complete the following sentence. No wrong answers, okay? 'Some people might choose not to have sex because'..." Spider didn't even look up "They're fugly." Jojo shook her head, "For the love of God, someone other than Spencer." Spider snickered next to Sera who just bumped her knee against his, "Oi. It's Ca$h." Everyone stood quickly waking their way to the window, all seeing the boy in question sprint through the gates, two police cars pulling up after him. Ca$h burst through the door tears in his eyes, "Better late than never." Darren looked to Ca$h tears in their own eyes "What did you do?" Ca$h took heavy breaths looking at Darren and no one else, "I love you, Darren. I've loved you since Year 8. And the only good thing about coming to this shithole every day is seeing your face." The class gasped as Sera looked between her friends in awe. "Are you serious?" Darren only looked at Ca$h who nodded, Spider stood next to Sera laughing "Aww Darren wants Ca$hs eshay baby" Sera turned to him smacking the back of his head, then Quinn turned to him "Shut the fuck up Spider!" She yelled at him. Spider jumped at the volume as Sera only laughed at his reaction he looked beyond stunned by the quiet girl yelling straight at him. "I love you too" Everyone watched as Ca$h shoved his way through tables and chairs and kissed Darren. Within seconds the cops came in pulling Ca$h away "It's okay, Darren. I love you. I love you, Darren." Ca$h nodded at Sera to let her know he was ok, she just held onto Spider's arm with sad eyes watching her friend get taken by the police.

5:32 pm

"I don't get it. Chook was in the car with them, why isn't he in jail?" Sera asked looking at Harper, the blonde shook her head "They let him go. 'Cause he wasn't in the footage, Jayden just filmed me, Ca$h, and that other guy, Tiller." Sera nodded grabbing Harpers' hand and giving it a supportive squeeze. The group sat on the beachy rocks watching the waves crash over one another in peace. "He's probably got a good lawyer too, the dog," Malakai added looking over to Harper. "I hope Chook dies." Darren yelled only staring ahead, Quinni laid her head on Darrens' shoulder, "And I hope that when he dies, he reincarnates into something super shit" Amerie said.

"A Miner bird."

"Intestinal worm."

"An ear infection."

"One of those bugs that stink."

Sera looked past Harper giving Amerie a questioning look "A stink bug?" she said, Amerie just nodded "Yeah, those ones" Sera shook her head laughing at Amerie. "I hope Ca$h gets out soon" Harper looked over to Darren smiling at them. Darren jumped off the rocks standing in front of them "Right. We need to cleanse ourselves." They dropped their pants revealing their brightly coloured briefs. Sera turned her head laughing "Uh, I'm not doing any more threesomes. What? Too soon?" Malakai smiled looking over at the girls. Sera just continued laughing. "in the ocean you idiot."

The group stood all in their underwear shivering at the cold autumn weather. Sera held Malakais's hand tightly shaking at the drop in temperature due to the lack of clothing. "Ready?" They all nodded at Darren and they started their countdown. On one Amerie was the only one in before they all followed after her, Sera jumped in the cold water covering her body, and she emerged from the water instantly getting splashed by Darren. Seraphine gasped dramatically before swimming after them and splashing back in retaliation. They all swam for hours enjoying the time together.

9:15 pm

Sera waved off Darren and Quinni walking inside, she had on a pair of trackies Darrens' dad brought for the girls and one of Spiders' tees. her hair was still dripping wet from their late-night swim. "left! Ant go left!" Sera entered the living room watching her brother and Spider play some game. Dusty laid on his phone but looked up to see the girl in the doorway, "hey Sera" she nodded at Dusty before turning to go make a tea in hopes it's warm her body. She flicked the kettle on, grabbing quite a large mug. Arms wrapped around her as she waited. "how was your night?" she turned around to look at her boyfriend in question, he shrugged "We just stayed in, there's leftover pizza if you're hungry?" Sera just looked at him before pulling him closer and just hugging him tightly. Spider stiffened not used to the affection, but he smiled gladly returning the hug, "everything ok?" She nodded in his chest resting her chin on it to look up at him. "yeah I, I just really love you Spencer" he smiled brightly at her capturing her lips with his.
