It was late in the afternoon the next day, the Saturday ray shined all through the large windows of the Vaughn residence. Seraphine had barely slept the night prior, yes she had dumped Spider, but she was still allowed to be heartbroken. Especially over the boy who had captured her heart from the first day they'd met.

Sera stood in the kitchen, puffy-eyed from tears and wearing her comfort tracksuit pants and hoodie. If she couldn't scream or hit something to get her emotions out of her system she found another remedy to cure her broken heart. So, that morning she knew what she had to do. Rising at the crack of dawn and taking a nice stroll to the nearest shops, Sera decided to bake her feelings away. Ant was ecstatic having woken up to find his sister covered in flour and an array of cookies, brownies, muffins and cupcakes littering the island counter. Ant took a seat at the bench munching away on the still warm freshly baked cookie, "I'm guessing from the bakery you're planning to open something real serious happened last night?" he questioned. Sera hadn't had the heart to tell Ant what had happened between her and Spencer, she had her panic attack and told her they'd talk about it tomorrow, far too exhausted and freshly wounded to recall the event then and there.

Sera slowed her vigorous mixing of red velvet mixture, setting the wooden spoon on the side of the large metal bowl. She turned to her brother not meeting her eyes and leaning on the marbled counter. How were you supposed to tell your brother, your best friend that you broke up with his other best friend? Sera bit her tongue before taking in a deep anxious breath, her fingers trembling it was now or never, "Me and Spider, we..." her eyes started to water just thinking about it, "We broke up." Ant froze with half a cookie hanging out of his mouth, he just stared straight at her, Ant had thought everything was going perfectly for them. And truth be told, he loved Spider and Sera together. Sure they were complete opposites, but they worked so well, she was the only person who could make Spencer fold and as nice as Spider was to Ant having that brotherly love, with Sera, their Angel it was a completely different Spider.

Ant rose from the barstool and approached his baby twin, he immediately just engulfed her in a tight bear hug, and Sera held the sobs stuck in the back of her throat. Ant didn't speak and just held her, "It'll be ok Angel" he soothed. She nodded into his chest. Ant pulled away placing his hands on her shoulder squeezing them, "Does this mean I can't hang with him anymore?" he sounded genuinely curious, Sera giggled wiping the stray tears that forced their way out of her deep eyes. "No Anothuny, Spider was your friend first I don't expect you to stop seeing one another." Ant nodded happily before stealing a cupcake and making his way to the living room.

Sera shook her head at him turning back to the batter. Once the cupcake tray was lined and filled, Sera carefully placed them in the oven and started cleaning up the kitchen. It was as if a bomb had gone off inside the house, trays and bowls littered the bench. Flour and egg residue stuck to the counter. Seraphine huffed as fun as baking was, it was always the cleaning after that ruined the mood. After rolling up her hoodie sleeves Sera got to work tackling the bowls and mess of the kitchen.

The fresh scent of baked goods and lemon disinfectant filled the air of the house, it was refreshing and oddly calmed Sera. She decided to put a handful of treats into boxes for her friends, maybe even give some to help Amerie in the election. Just as she was finishing packaging the last box of goodies and placing a cute ribbon around the box, Sera's phone started to buzz in her pocket. She pulled it from the pocket of her trackies seeing 'Nan xxx' in bold text, the older woman hardly called Sera opting for a quick text instead usually, so this change had her in a panic. Quickly pressing the green call button she held the phone to her ear, when the call connected she immediately swarmed Nan with questions. "Nan? Is everything alright? are you hurt?" Sera bit on her nailbed anxiously tapping her for nervously waiting for a response, the older woman scoffed from the other end of the line and Sera could mentally see the massive eye roll Nan was no doubt giving her. "Sera I am fine, I'm not that fragile. I just think you should come over" Sera nodded forgetting Nan couldn't see her physical response. "Yeah'll be right over" She hung up and briskly walked to the living room where Ant lay sprawled over the cushions, "Hey can you take me to Nans?" she asked giving him her best puppy dog eyes, Ant nodded standing and grabbing his car keys, "Yeah I was gonna stop by Spiders anyways." Sera just nodded slowly, she didn't want to hear about him for the weekend and a trip to Nans might be what she needed. Grabbing a box of treats for Nan the twins made their way to the car.

2:32 pm

After a short drive, the twins pulled up to the Piggot residence Sera felt anxiety riddle her body. There was no sign of an ambulance which eased her a bit but not enough. She bid Ant a quick goodbye before rushing out of the car towards the front door. She knocked frantically on the flywire waiting for Nan, she could hear the faint quacks from Darude signalling someone at the door, and she stared at her feet as the front door swung open.

Seras met a pair of cyan TNs instead of the mauve slippers she was used to, looking up she was met face-to-face with Ca$h. the pair stared at one another for a brief second before breaking out into wide smiles and pulling one another into a hug, "Ca$h! when did you get out?" Sera was teary-eyed as she just held him tighter in her arms, being cautious to not drop the baked goods. He laughed squeezing her, "Late yesterday, Nan called you?" they pulled away as Sera wiped her tears nodding. Ca$h moved out of the way letting her into the house. She took off her crocs at the door and neatly set them aside, after giving Darude a quick pat the two teens walked into the living room and joined Nan.
