--Flashback--
--Dan's Pov--
An 18 wheeler sped out of control at us.
The headlights blinding me and R/N. I gripped the steering wheel and swerved right off the road. The car flipped over twice and slid down the hill. We were heading towards a forest. I heard metal smashing, and glass shards flying. I looked over at R/N she was deathly silent. It seemed the crash was in slow motion. I looked ahead and saw a huge pine tree before a river. I waited for impact. I heard a loud high pitched scream escape from R/N's lips. My vision got blurry as glass was flying towards us. I saw nothing but black.

--Dan's Pov--
My vision was blurry. I heard silence except for the bubbling of the cool, crystal river. I was floating in the river. I frantically looked around. I saw pine trees, pine needles everywhere, and the water was tinted red. I realized R/N was missing. I stood up. I could touch the murky bottom of the river. My car was also gone. I was alone in a forest at 12:00 looking for my most likely dead friend.
