With a heavy heart, I pushed the curtains aside and gazed out into the stormy night, searching for solace in the chaos.

My heart leaped in my chest as recognition dawned. It was him. It had to be.

I rushed downstairs, my heart pounding with a mixture of excitement and fear. "Raven? Oh my god! Where have you been? I've been so worried," I called out, my voice trembling with emotion.

I swung open the door, there was no one there at tanging malamig na hangin lang ang sumalubong saakin

"Raven?" muli kong sigaw

With a heavy heart and an annoyed frown, I retreated back into the house,Before shutting the door, I cast one final glance outside, wishing desperately for his return.

Was it all just my imagination?

I was drenched when I entered the house, the rain soaking through my clothes. The worried looks of the maid met me, but I paid them no mind as I dried myself off

Coughing, I wrapped my arms around my pillow, pulling the comforter tight around me. Cold and burning with fever, I shivered in the darkness, tears stinging my eyes.

I glanced out the window. The rain had stopped. It was quiet outside, just like the emptiness I felt inside. His absence was like a wound that wouldn't heal.

I coughed again, the stabbing pain in my chest making me gasp for air.
Grabbing my phone, I saw missed calls from Sheki and Mikay. Frowning, I answered Sheki's call.

"What?" I snapped, my voice harsh.

"I just woke up! What's your problem? For Pete's sake, it's only 6 am!" I retorted.

There was a deep sigh from the other end before Sheki spoke again.
