Daniel took a gasping breath in as he ran back towards his car. Getting back inside the car, he started the car and drove back to where the others were.
It took him 10 minutes before he saw the four jeeps full of guards filling up their cars with fuel. They were one of the five groups looking for the prince.
10 hours.
It had been 10 long hours of searching and no sign of him.
It was 5 in the morning of the next day.
It was as if the crown prince had completely disappeared from existence. They had searched all around the grounds, in the entire city, and even the entire province. Almost half of the total troops were out of the palace grounds looking for the crown prince.
The only downfall was that they could only do the search themselves and privately.
Because if their enemies got to know that the crown prince was missing, they might try to take advantage of the situation.
What if they got to the crown prince first?
Daniel bit his lips in fear at just the thought of it. He shook his head to remove all the stupid thoughts, "Nothing's gonna happen to him." He whispered to himself, his voice breaking and he couldn't even believe his own words because of the hopelessness.
He took the sandwich his subordinate, Jack passed to him, unable to return the smile the man gave him.
How was he supposed to smile?
He didn't have his best friend with him. The person who taught him how to smile.
He looked down at the sandwich and just by looking at it he knew, Mrs. Kang had made it. He knew it for sure.
He still remembered the face of the lady as she fell on her knees when she got to know what had happened, he could never forget how she begged him sobbing loudly for her child, as she called him.
Daniel chuckled bitterly feeling sudden anger at his best friend.
Why did he leave?
Because he got shocked he had a mother?
What about Mrs. Kang? She always considered him her own child.
If he couldn't think about him or Taehyung, the least he could do was think about Mrs. Kang, she's so old, how was she supposed to survive this?
Daniel groaned looking up. His thoughts were spiralling now.
He knew how Jungkook was. His best friend gets mad really easily, and to calm himself, the only thing he can do is, let his intrusive thoughts take over.
