Jungkook pulled back as if he was struck by lightning. He stared at Taehyung with wide-blown eyes.
There was anger, relief and fear in those eyes that stared back at him. The mixed emotions sent a shiver down Jungkook's spine.
"What? You thought I wouldn't know?" Taehyung asked with a shadowed look crossing on his face. His jaw hardened and his hands clenched around Jungkook's back holding him in a bruising grip.
He savagely held Jungkook's chin and said, "I was waiting for you to tell me for so long. Tell me, Should I be glad you told me or mad that you decided to do it now?"
Jungkook's chin started wobbling and he tried to turn his head away but the unrelenting way Taehyung held his chin gave him no space to do so.
He dared to look into Taehyung's eyes, but that was a mistake. Because the way Taehyung was staring at him was heartbreaking.
Fear.
There was so much fear in those eyes. As if he was still not sure if what he was seeing was real or not.
Taehyung's grip tightened to the point of hurting around his back, his nails digging on the other side of his waist, crushing him to himself.
As if Jungkook would disappear if he let go.
Jungkook closed his eyes, squeezing them, unable to see the sight in front of him. Guilt slowly squeezed his throat, making it hard for him to keep the tears at bay.
A low growl had him flinching in Taehyung's arms, "Look at me."
Jungkook whimpered and shook his head as much as he could with the grip on his jaw.
Then it was silence.
Jungkook held his breath as he waited for Taehyung's anger galore to take over him.
And Taehyung didn't disappoint him either.
"Open your eyes. Or forget ever seeing your mother's face again. I will lock you in this room for the rest of your life. You know I don't care if she lives or dies."
Jungkook's eyes snapped open and he stared at Taehyung with disbelief and his own anger fuelling it.
"I know that, you don't have to be rude!" Jungkook spoke up unable his hold his sass, completely distracted.
Taehyung's lips pulled up to a wicked smirk, "Is that so?"
"Yes, it is so! Drop the attitude, Mr. Kim."
"What if I don't? What're you gonna do, huh?"
"I'll... I'll never let you touch me again!"
"My little cub, you keep forgetting that I have more claim over you than you yourself. You're more mine than you are your own."
