Hey y'all! Here's an update! I had a terrible few days and my mind is spinning.  But anyways, here is to some spice. FYI,  I don't really write spice like that. I feel like an amateur when it comes to that.

Chapter 21: Solèy Mwen
Nevaeh

The holidays were pretty much over. Only new days were left until New Year's. As I get reminded of New Years day, I become more sad. January 1st was Haiti's independence day. So every year, my dad would cook this delicious pumpkin soup. It was a tradition. It was times like these where I missed him the most. I fixed my attention on work, so I wouldn't have to think too much about it.

I was working at the front desk and I had practice a little later. As I was filling out a form, I felt the vibration of my phone on the table. I glanced over and saw it was him.

Damon: Hey, look what I found!

Looking at these pictures brought a wave of memories flashing in my mind like a film. It brought me back to all the reasons why I loved Damon. That night, I fell in love with Damon, and there hasn't been another guy out there, at least not for me. They make an effort, trying. However, they were unable to capture my heart the way he did, unable to capture what was already stolen, what was once his.

Nevaeh: Aw, we looked cute! Where did you get these?

Damon: My mom gave them to me after I moved out. I found them again a while ago but didn't want to send them to you because you know...

Nevaeh: You were in your feelings

Damon: Yeah, something like that

Even with all those truths, I couldn't help but to smile. As I was looking at my phone, I heard a voice being cleared. I dropped my phone down quickly and looked up. Dolly was seated on the same yellow chair on my right. It was the first time I noticed that Dolly wore makeup. Though her foundation was slightly off, she wore it proudly. "What got you smiling like that?" she asked.

"Remember that guy I told you about?"

"The dumbass," she said bluntly.

"Yes, him. Well, over the holidays things worked out between us and you could say that we are back together."

"What changed?"

"We were finally honest with each other and opened up about things that were bothering us for a while. Of course we still had to confront our feelings about each other, but when we did, it was the greatest thing."
