I know I said 8 eight before chapter like three chapters ago, but it might be more. I will see if I can wrap this up without it being overwhelming or underwhelming. But either way, I wrote this for fun, so it doesn't matter too much to me. Hope you enjoy! Also I decided to give each chapter a title...may change a few when I revise

Chapter 31: Lips On Mine Forever
NevaehI was standing outside the airport. My flight was departing for a few hours. I lied about boarding now, because I figured that Damon would figure things out and I didn't want him to stop me.
I had my blue luggage beside me, about ten thousand dollars cash, and a heavy heart.
I was really going to take off and see my birth father. I knew it was probably an insane thing to do but it was better than staying home knowing what I know. Everyone that was the most important to me were all liars. I was able to come to peace with the fact they were liars. I just could face them. I acknowledge that this lie was out of Natalie's and Damon's hands but I could help but to feel that familiar feeling of being lied to like how I was liked to five years ago. Maybe this was a trauma response. I was not sure.
I tried to throw my thoughts in the back of my head and tried to think of the bigger picture. I was off to see my birth father. Again, something that was insane but it was a step closer to where I wanted to be.
I found it funny because I always thought I was like a mini version of my father, Nathaniel. The things we cared about, our love for music and dance, and everything in between were all things I thought I got from him. Natalie was more like Teresa and I was like my dad. But who knows if they were all from him. This Maleek guy might have these qualities too.
Now that my mind was on him, I was thinking of what he may be like and what if he was nothing like me and actually didn't want anything to do with me. I wouldn't be surprised. But I didn't want to wait and see in the next five years. I already missed twenty-five years.
As I grabbed my luggage and was about to take my first step forward, I felt a tight grip on my wrist, twisting it with force, pulling me back. The pain stuck so bad. My instant reaction was to scream but my scream was pushed back into my throat as I felt a heavy hand over my mouth, muffling whatever sounds I made.
"You just had to not listen to me when I said dump Damon and forfeit the competition, princess," he said behind me.
Christian.
I tried my best to push him off of me and turn my body to him. He wore a black hoodie and sweatpants. "What do you want from me? Why do you keep following me?" I spoke, trying to mask all trepidation in my voice.
He ignored my questions. "You know I was trying to be a nice guy for once. Well, again. But you just made things difficult. I had to take matters in my own hands," Christian uttered with malice.
Matters into his own hands? What was he talking about?
He was such a stalker. Obsessed. And I don't know why. The tone of his voice made me too scared to ask.
"What do you mean 'take matters into your own hands'?" I asked. I wiggled my wrist from his grip but it only tighten. I bite my lip so hard that I think I may have cut it.
"I am sure you have recently received mail."
Mail? The envelope. My birth certificate.
He continued, "You are going to take your luggage and go back. We are not done yet. You thought that just because you ignored my warning and things didn't work out, you get to leave?"
