chapter six

Lydia opened her eyes and started coughing. She smelled smoke and her head hurt. She stood up and looked around. Half of the science lab was collapsed on the ground and the other half was on fire. The building was absolutely demolished. Lydia looked beside her and saw Scott and Stiles laying on the ground unconscious. She then saw Doctor Stilinski and Kira getting up on their feet and they both looked badly injured. Paramedics came to get Scott and Stiles to transport them to the hospital and a nurse approached Lydia.

"Here, let's get you to a doctor." A nurse told Lydia. She followed the nurse to one of the doctors outside who were checking the patients that weren't badly injured. 

"You got lucky, you're not badly injured. Just a few scratches and bruises, nothing too bad. But to be safe, you may want to get a test to see if you have a concussion." The doctor told Lydia and she nodded. Lydia looked over to the hospital. The parts closest to the science lab either had small fires or collapsed a bit. 

"Lydia!" Kira yelled, "Have you seen Scott?" Kira held an ice pack to her head and there was a blood stain on her shirt. "I'm fine, trust me. I'm heading into the hospital, I just need to know-"

"Scott got transported into the hospital." Lydia said, "He'll be fine."

"Thank you." Kira nodded and ran to the hospital. Lydia was still in shock. The explosion happened so quickly. She didn't know how it could've happened. The lab was always safe and secure. Nothing like this could've happened unless it was on purpose.

"Lydia!" Alex yelled, "Has anyone seen my sister?"

"Alex!" Lydia yelled and ran over to him.

"Thank God you're okay! I heard about the explosion and came here as soon as I possibly could. I'm suppose to be analyzing data and stuff right now but-"

"It's fine." Lydia smiled, "I'm okay. See? I got lucky. I just have to get a concussion test to be safe."

"How did this happen?" Alex asked as he walked through the demolished part of the building.

Lydia shrugged, "The last thing I remember was Stiles yelling at me to get down and then getting blown to the ground."

"Stiles? Who is this Stiles?" Alex questioned and Lydia rolled her eyes.

"Save your over protective brother act for later. Right now, you need to find out what happened to this building. Something like this couldn't have happened unless it was on purpose." Lydia whispered and Alex nodded.

"Do you think the person who did this could've been the same person who murdered Farrah Jameson and Ms. Jacobs?"

Lydia shrugged, "There's a slight chance, but it could make sense. Whoever did this wanted the lab gone, and I think I know why."

"Why?"

Lydia tried to reply, but she felt her head spinning. Her head began to hurt more and more every second. It felt like she could hear people's thoughts, like she was inside of their mind. She fell to her knees and held her hands to her head.

"Hey! Hey! Lydia are you okay?" Alex asked and sat in front of his sister. "What's happening?"

Everything was too loud. She couldn't handle it. Everything was too loud and overwhelming. 

"Someone help! Something's going on with my sister!" Alex yelled and it only made Lydia's head hurt more. It literally felt like she was losing control of her mind and that there was other people's thoughts. She heard nurses and doctors running towards her and she screamed. Her scream even hurt her ears, but then Lydia fell to the ground and went unconscious again.

I'm so excited, we're finally getting to the good part of the story! Are you guys excited? Because I am. Thank you all so much for writing! Also, keep your eyes peeled because in a few days I plan on publishing a Liam Dunbar fanfiction :)

I also apologize for this chapter being short! I'll update again tomorrow. But I really wanted this to be separate and not combined into anything else. The update tomorrow will be longer.
