The six friends all sat in a circle on Lydia's apartment floor. They decided to talk somewhere other than the lab, which led them all to be in Lydia's apartment with everyone either drinking tea or coca-cola while a half-empty pizza box was laying on the floor in the middle of the circle.
"This Derek thing going on, what are we gonna do about it?" Scott asked as he bit into another piece of pizza.
Kira shrugged, "Do you think we can trust him?"
"No." Isaac stated, "The only people we can trust are the group of people sitting here and Stiles dad. It would be a bad idea letting Derek join."
"But what if he's being serious? I would feel bad." Allison said.
"Villain or not, that guy can stop someone's heart and resurrect people. He would be a good person to have on the team because of his powers." Stiles pointed out and everyone nodded their heads in agreements.
"Switching the subject." Lydia announces, "I'm sure you've all heard about the murders going around in Beacon City."
"Aren't those the really weird ones where every murder has been literally exactly the same? Puncture wounds and everything?" Scott question.
Lydia nodded. "It just got personal for me. My dad was killed last week. My brother works as a forensic scientist for the police department and he says that they're getting no where. We all agreed that with being superheroes, we would protect people. Now we need to start protecting people from a crazy murderer."
"I thought we handled more... supernatural things. Like the supervillain team." Isaac then said.
"Anyone could be next. Anyone that's high in power. Anyone-"
"Anyone like my father." Stiles put his plate down then looked up. "Everyone murdered was high in power. Apparently my college professor was a secret millionaire. Everyone high in power that lives in Beacon City is dying. My father could be next."
"Lydia is right. We should at least try to do something about this." Kira agreed.
"Wait, do you guys see that?" Scott asked and slowly stood up.
"No Scott, you're the only one with enhanced seeing." Allison replied.
"On the coat rack. There's a red light." Scott pointed to Lydia's coat rack, where more than a dozen coats were hanging.
Isaac transported and looked through all of Lydia's coats. He barely managed to see the red light on the neck of a coat and pulled it out. He held it up and pointed it to everyone. "Lydia, I think someone has been watching you."
