chapter nine

A week passed since it was revealed that Lydia, and five other people, got powers from the explosion. It was something that was still hard for her to believe. All her life she was a normal human being with a normal life, and now was some unique person with unique powers.

She walked into the secret science lab and everyone was inside and sitting in chairs. No one really knew what to do with their powers, but everyone was training to learn how to use and control them.

"Now that we are all here." Stiles dad said as he stood up, "I still think creating a team of superheroes is a good idea."

"Dad, did you not hear me say that there was no way I would work on a team with Isaac?" Stiles asked as Lydia sat next to Stiles.

"Oh I heard, I just don't care." His father replied.

"Yeah Stiles, you're just hilarious. How about I change my size so I can became the real life version of the Hulk and throw you across the room?" Isaac said in an unamused tone.

"I could easily throw you across the room as well!" Stiles exclaimed.

"Can you two shut up?" Allison groaned, "You never stop bickering and it's annoying!"

"He started it!" Stiles defended.

"Anyway, let's get off that topic. Let's just think about this. A team of superheroes. Do you know how many lives you could save? How much you could help the world?" Doctor Stilinski asked as he walked around the room.

"We don't even have anything to fight or any mysteries to solve." Scott said and Lydia sighed.

"Actually we do. I'm sure you have all heard about the murders of Farrah Jameson and Ms. Jacobs, right? My brother works for the police department and he told me that they're not having any luck finding the killer. This killer isn't any normal one though. The killer killed the two girls in the exact same way. Their deaths were identical." 

"I'm actually sort of terrified now." Isaac said.

"Typical." Stiles rolled his eyes.

Lydia spoke up before the two boys started arguing again, "I also bet there were more people who were affected by this. We couldn't have been the only ones. We may be superheroes, but what if there's supervillains? There could be people who will use their powers for bad instead of good."

"We also should find out who set off the fire and explosion since the police department still hasn't found out." Allison says, "I say this gives us a pretty good reason to become a team."

"You guys are seriously going to make me work with him?" Stiles asked pointing as Isaac.

"I will crush you."

"I would like to see you try."

"Stiles, this shouldn't be a bad thing for you. You'll get to spend more time with Lydia which we all know is something you want." Isaac then said and everyone became quiet.

"What?" Lydia questioned.

"What the hell Isaac?" Stiles said.

"Okay we're a team then!" The Scientist began talking before the situation could get any more awkward or worse.

"We should come up with a name for ourselves!" Scott yelled.

"Scott, we're not the freaking Avengers. We're a group of misfit kids who have no clue what we're doing." Allison looked up at him, making Scott's enthusiastic mood change to a disappointed one.

"I don't see what the harm with having a team name is." Stiles shrugged and agreed with his best friend.

"If Stiles wants a team name then I definitely don't want one." Isaac said.

"What are your problems with each other? Seriously, I don't understand." Lydia then spoke up, breaking her silence. Neither Stiles or Isaac replied and she laughed. "Exactly."

"So is that a no to a team name then?" Scott asked.
