chapter twenty

The misfit and rag-tag group of five reached the pier. Stiles was going to stay in one of the small shops and monitor the fight while giving tips through the ear pieces. Allison, Lydia, Isaac, and Scott would do the actual fighting. Alex and the team of villains weren't there yet, so everyone was working on getting people at least three miles away from the pier.

Soon enough, Alex was marching down the street along side Doctor Stilinski and the villains. Lydia couldn't recognize her brother. The once loving and caring brother now was an evil and corrupt soul. Stiles glanced at his father then refocused his attention to something else. It hurt too much to know that his only family member left was a completely different person.

"I see that you've made it." Alex said as he continued walking to Lydia.

"Obviously, if we didn't make it then we wouldn't be here." Isaac crossed his arms and was unimpressed by Alex.

"Why did you do this? Why did you kill so many people?" Lydia asked. 

Alex shrugged, "Why does anyone do anything? Maybe for power, maybe for money, maybe for fame, or maybe for fun."

"You have a very different definition of fun then the rest of us." Scott mumbled.

"I'm actually not that bad of a guy, I-"

"He's kidding right?" Allison questioned, "You murdered three people."

"I murdered three people because it had to be done, okay?" It was easy to tell that Alex was growing more angry by the second, "I first found out about all the superhero serum crap when I was having lunch with my father. That's when it occurred to me. Superheroes? Superpowers? Our world can't handle that. We're already enough of a mess and giving people powers would be a death wish. People go crazy when they have power."

"You're the only one who's gone crazy." Isaac replied

Alex nodded, "I can handle that. But my point is valid. Farrah Jameson, Ms. Jacobs, my father, and Doctor Stilinski. They were all taking part of this plan to create a team of superheroes that could somehow save Earth. When I heard that, I thought that they completely lost their minds. A team of superheroes? I mean, nothing can get more crazy than that. What made it worse was that they were selecting people to be part of the team and I figured out that Lydia was one of the people who was selected. My sister could be a soon-to-be superhero. I wouldn't allow that to happen."

Everything made sense to Lydia. The email that was sent to her. Ms. Jacobs somehow knew that one way or another, Lydia would end up being a superhero and the email was a 'heads-up' email to prepare Lydia for the future. She tilted her head at her brother, "Is that the only part of the story? Would you care to explain the reason why you murdered people and why it was all done in the same way?"

"That is only because I like patterns and am quite the perfectionist." Alex pointed his finger at his sister, "I know how twisted that sounds, but the truth can be twisted."

"Oh the truth isn't the only thing here that's twisted." Isaac then said.

"After finding out the information, I had to go to someone and have them join my side. I knew that my father would call me crazy and I didn't know Farrah Jameson or Ms. Jacobs, but I did know Doctor Stilinski a bit. I told him how crazy it was and he agreed with me. He joined my side. For part two of the plan, I needed to eliminate all the people that were part of the group who wanted superheroes. Let me just tell you, it was one of the hardest things to do but at the same time it gave me a sense of relief because I knew that I was protecting our world from being destroyed. In the middle of everyone's killing, Doctor Stilinski and I decided that an explosion in the science lab would be the only way to have the serums be destroyed. So the explosion was perfectly pre-planned. The only thing that backfired was that the serums somehow went inside certain people and gave them powers. That was something that I didn't expect. What shocked me even more was that my little sister was one of the people that got powers and that's how we're here now. Superheroes and superpowers are something that needs to be eliminated. Are you happy now?"

The team of superheroes all glanced at each other before looking at their enemies. Lydia tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear and shook her head, "Alex, you're my brother. It isn't easy saying this, but you're an actual psychopath. No person was anywhere near sane would do what you did. I don't know what happened to you, but you're not the brother that I use to have and you need to be stopped. One way or another, I am going to take you down and you are going to be locked inside a cell for the rest of your life."

"Not unless I win this fight." Alex replied then before anyone knew it, a war between bad and good began.

I really enjoyed writing the motives behind Alex's craziness and I hope you guys enjoyed reading it. He's actually crazy. I'm excited to write the fight scenes. Quite a few deaths will happen....
