23.09.22 MY NIECE'S HOUSE

JK POV:

I arrived in New York this morning. I decided I'm going to stop by my niece's house to try and contact Y/N. I can't give up on her no matter how hard I try. I got to the door and took a deep breath in. I don't really know what to expect. I'm nervous.

I rang the doorbell. A minute later I heard Yumi shriek. She opened the door and immediately hugged me. She was so excited. She let go and started jumping up and down excitedly yelling stuff in English. I couldn't understand what she was yelling, but she had the biggest smile on her face. NGL, I was just as excited. I love this kid. She reminds me of Y/N. My emotions took over me and my body was jumping up and down too.

This woman who looked like an older version of Yumi came to the door curiously while asking, "Why are you being so noisy? Who's at the door?" Her mouth went wide open in shock. Yumi pulled me in saying, "Mommy, Uncle's here for Aunty. Call Aunty. Uncle's here." We all started laughing.

The woman introduced herself as Yoo-na saying she is Yumi's mother and Y/N's best friend/boss. I apologized saying that I was looking for Y/N and this address was the only information I have related to Y/N. Yoo-na was practically in tears. She hugged me then apologized. She said, "Y/N has been a wreck without you. Yumi and I have been trying to keep her spirits up, but she needs you. I have been telling her to call you every week that passes, but she's embarrassed and can't get it through her thick skull that you love her."

My heart dropped at her words. I broke down into tears. I told her, "You have no idea how hard it's been for me. I miss her sooo sooo sooo fucking much." I looked at Yumi and apologized for cussing. Yoo-na laughed and shooed Yumi away. I asked her if she knew where Y/N is right now and how I could get a hold of her. Yoo-na let me know that Y/N was in California and my heart dropped again.

I interrupted her and asked, "With her asshole boyfriend?" Yoo-na's face immediately went sad. She goes, "Oh you don't even know what that asshole did huh? He left her. He moved all his stuff out while she was in New York so she went back to a breakup note and an empty apartment." I was furious. How dare someone treat my angel like that. Then I instantly felt regret. I felt heartbroken that I left her and that she had to deal with all of that by herself.

"That's rough." I replied grabbing my chest. Yoo-na said, "Yes but Y/N is strong and her heart hasn't even been in that relationship for years. The only tears she cried were tears for you. She misses you dearly. She put your ring on a necklace and that thing hasn't left her heart for a second. I caught her sleeping with her finger inside of it. It was the cutest thing."

My heart exploded at that thought. I smiled and said out loud, "She loves me." Yoo-na smacked my arm and says, "Aiiiish, of course she does. She only loves you. I've been trying to set her up to take her mind off things and she refuses." I scrunched my nose and replied, "Good, she still knows she all mine and only mine." Yoo-na shook her head laughing while saying, "You guys are literally the same person."

Yoo-na said that she had Y/N working in California all month, but she's having her fly back today so they can go to my performance tomorrow. I swear I was so happy I wanted to jump up and down like Yumi right there. I pulled out 3 vip tickets with backstage passes out of my pocket and handed them to her. Yumi came running in and jumped on my lap hugging me saying, "You're the best uncle ever. I told Auntie that you were acting weird on your streams, but she wouldn't listen."

I laughed and gave her a high five for always being my #1 supporter. I asked her who her bias was and she goes "I love RM!" I high fived her again saying, "He's my bias too." She giggled and said, "He's so smart and handsome and tall and he's so cool when he raps." I agreed with her and told her I will set up a time where she can meet him one day soon. She shrieked and ran away giggling.

I got up to leave and Yoo-na hugged me and said, "I am so happy you didn't give up on her. You guys deserve each other. You know she technically doesn't have a home right now. I doubt she would refuse if you asked her to go back to Korea with you. Also she's been taking Korean lessons with Yumi and can actually hold regular conversations now. She was able to finally read the note you left for her."

My heart melted. My baby can speak Korean now. I'm so excited to hear her. God no one is as perfect as her. No one will ever compare.

With that happy thought I left excited for tomorrow.
