Chapter 55 - Girls' Night

Rimuru POV

As we arrived at Ciel and Sylvia's shared room, Ellie, with Sylvie perched on her shoulder, barged in without bothering to knock. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at my sister's lack of manners, although her exuberance was undeniable. I trailed in behind Ellie, with Tess and Lily close on my heels.

The room was buzzing with laughter and chatter as we entered. Sylvia was chilling on her neatly made bed, Lina had claimed the comfy chair, and Anna had settled herself on the floor surrounded by cushions. But no sign of Ciel, probably still enjoying a nice soak in the bath.

"You're late," Anna grumbled, her eyes narrowing as she shot us a slightly annoyed look. Tess just smiled sweetly and replied, "Well, you know how crowded the market can be, but I made sure to grab all the good stuff!" She started unpacking the bags, revealing a tantalizing array of delicious-looking snacks and treats. Anna's face instantly lit up like a kid on Christmas morning.

"That's fantastic! I'm starving. What did you find?" she asked eagerly, practically drooling as Tess started unpacking the bags, revealing a mouthwatering assortment of snacks.

Meanwhile, Sylvia sauntered up to me, her mischievous grin widening as she caught sight of me. Her eyes sparkled with playful curiosity as she prodded, "So, how was your little outing?"

I let out a sigh, unable to contain my amusement at her antics. "Ah, so this was all part of Ciel's plan, huh?" I replied, pretending to be taken aback by her knowledge.

Sylvia shrugged nonchalantly, confirming my suspicion. "Oh, I have no clue what you're talking about. Art tell me about that," she shot back, confirming my suspicions.

A raised eyebrow was my response to her confession. "Art, huh? Couldn't keep it to himself, could he?" I mused, chuckling softly.

Sylvia nodded, confirming my assumption. "Indeed, he simply had to reveal your little picnic with Lily. By the way, did you give her the beast core?" she asked, a glimmer of genuine interest in her eyes.

I glanced over at Lily, who seemed to be thoroughly engrossed in conversation with the other girls. "Yes, I did. I thought it might boost her confidence," I replied, my voice laced with a hint of concern.

Sylvia's smile widened, understanding the underlying worry in my words. "I'm sure it will. Lily is a resilient young girl, and she's fortunate to have you looking out for her," she said, her voice filled with genuine warmth.

But before I could even react, the bathroom door swung open, and there stood Ciel, wrapped in nothing but a fluffy towel. My heart skipped a beat at the sight of her delicate, porcelain skin glowing in the soft bathroom light. "Hey Sylvia, mind grabbing my clothes? Seems like I left them behind," she said casually, not a care in the world about her nearly naked state.

Before I could say or do anything, darkness descended upon me as Lily, Ellie, Anna, and Lina rushed to cover my eyes. "Umm, girls?" I called out, realizing they were going a bit overboard. "I can just close my eyes or leave the room, you know." Sylvia chuckled at the situation and went to fetch Ciel's clothes.

But Anna wasn't having any of it. "No way! We can't risk the guys catching a glimpse!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with concern as she struggled to keep her hands firmly pressed against my eyes.

Ciel, on the other hand, seemed unfazed by the commotion. "Oops, sorry Rimuru, I didn't even see you there," she remarked, nonchalant as ever. Her confidence was both captivating and slightly intimidating.

"Are you serious? Shouldn't you be a little more embarrassed?!" Lily scolded playfully, her hands still firmly covering my eyes.

Ciel just laughed it off, taking her clothes from Sylvia and disappearing back into the bathroom. I couldn't help but chuckle at the girls' protective nature. After a few minutes, Ciel emerged again, fully dressed, her damp hair cascading down her back, a hint of lavender in the air.
