The last note of the score
As the three pearls came together, a much more powerful light emerged. Rouge covered her eyes with her left arm, while mumbling some insults. The two of us, on the other hand, found ourselves staring at everything that was going on, completely dumbfounded. Behind the three pearls, the shadow of a girl began to form, as the figure of the Goddess of the Seas faded away.
When her silhouette was fully formed, the girl descended and, touching the ground, opened her eyes. Her eyes were lilac-coloured, the same shade as Aqua Regina's. Her hair was blonde, short and wavy, while the dress and shell-shaped pendant she wore were shades of yellow.
—This is my farewell and my last gift to you. –And with a warm smile, the goddess disappeared completely.
After that, Kairi's pearl and mine returned to our side, while the third pearl stayed with the newcomer. Tears were soon streaming down my cheeks.
If only we had been stronger, this wouldn't have happened. If only I wasn't useless, none of this would have happened. If only...
—Why are you crying? Aqua Regina wouldn't want you to lose hope. Besides, against Fuku and her maids, we are the hope this world needs! –The newcomer exclaimed with a big smile. Extending her hand to help me up from the ground, I could tell her resemblance to the goddess was more than just her eye colour. –My name is Odele, nice to meet you. –She added when I was already on my feet.
—Hey, how about we take advantage of the fact that the cheap copy of Y/N is stunned? I won't forgive her for ruining my dress! –Kairi spoke, approaching us.
She was covered in bruises and her dress was torn, but that didn't stop her overbearing attitude from fading. –Even in this state she won't let go of her pride... –I thought wryly.
—Don't worry, the Goddess of the Seas has not only created me to help you. She has also improved the pearls a little bit. –Odele commented, sticking out her tongue and making a victory sign with her right hand.
I looked inside my pendant, noticing how the multicoloured pearl glowed similarly to how it did when Aqua Regina was there. –So, let's not waste any more time! –I said with a sideways smile.
—Prism pearl voice! Ocean pearl voice! Melody pearl voice! –We said at the same time.
Our bodies were enveloped in a powerful light. My school uniform was transformed into my singing attire, while Kairi's clothes were fixed. On Odele's side, her dress changed to an outfit with boots and glove in shades of yellow, similar to Luchia's and Coco's.
There was no difference in our costumes until, instead of the winged microphone appearing, wing-shaped headphones emerged in our left ears. Reminding me of the ones Sailor Starlight wears in Sailor Moon.
When the three of us were ready, the light gradually faded as the music began to play. –Pichi pichi voice, live start! –All three of us exclaimed at the same time with a smile on our faces.
—Love shower pitch! How about an encore? –All three of us asked at the same time.
—I lost again... I lost again! How is that possible?! –Rouge cried out in pain.
—And you put on your big show this time. –I interrupted her existential crisis.
—You're... –She muttered as her appearance changed back to the way it was before.
At that, Rouge stood up slowly and with a look full of hatred. Standing straight, she disappeared just as quickly as the last time. Shortly after that, we de-transformed.
Kairi and I were in our school uniforms, while Odele was back in her simple yellow dress.
—That... was... amazing! –Shouted the blonde full of excitement.
—Wow, wow, wow. Turn it down a couple of decibels. You're gonna deafen us, girl. –Commented the reddish-stranded girl as she covered her ears.
—I'm sorry, it's just, that was amazing. –She said with her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. –It's true, I have to introduce myself better. My name is Odele Angelis, mermaid princess of the melody pearl. It's a pleasure to meet you both! –The lilac-eyed one added, smiling at us again.
—Ugh, too loud. Don't you have a button to lower your voice? –Kairi complained again, pointing an incriminating finger at her.
—Melody pearl? –I muttered thoughtfully.
—It sounds a bit strange, but none of the three of us have a pearl that can be called "normal". –Odele laughed at that.
It was true. None of our pearls could be considered normal. They're not even like those OCs people make on the Internet, which usually use colours like red, white or black.
The closest to that would be mine, as it is made up of all the colours. Next would be Kairi's, as you could relate the ocean to the blue in an attempt to compare. And last would be Odele's, as the melody (except for people with synaesthesia) has no colour at all.
—But that makes us more original. Better, if I may add. Though I'm the best of all, obviously. –The tanned brunette spoke again in her usual overbearing tone.
—It's like we're the combination of what makes a mermaid special. –The blonde added to what the other woman had said. –The music they sing, the ocean they swim in, and the colour they wear. –She said, looking at both of us.
—It's true, it's as if we were a score to which notes were added until it was completed. –I thought, observing how the two of them interacted with each other. –Huh? –Slowly, my vision began to double as my head began to spin. –I'm going to pass out? Again?! I'm sick of this shi- –Before I could swear any more, my body dropped like dead weight to the ground, as I watched Kairi and Odele rush to my aid.
