"A little celebration of our own"

I sat in front of my laptop, watching the live stream of the Miami race, my heart racing along with the cars on the screen. Lando was out there, weaving through the competition, his determination palpable even through the pixels. Each turn felt like an eternity, each straightaway a chance for him to edge closer to victory.

And then it happened.

The checkered flag waved, and Lando surged past the finish line, triumphant. My breath caught in my throat as tears of joy filled my eyes. He did it. He won.

I leapt from my seat, cheering as if he could hear me through the screen. But amidst the celebration, a pang of longing tugged at my heart. I wished I could be there, in Miami, wrapped in his arms, sharing in his moment of glory.

Without a second thought, I grabbed my phone and opened the browser, fingers flying across the screen as I searched for flights to Miami. My heart pounded with anticipation as I found a suitable option, my mind already racing ahead to the reunion I so desperately craved.

In just two hours, I would be on a plane bound for Miami. It was a whirlwind decision, impulsive and reckless, but in that moment, it felt like the only option. I couldn't bear the thought of waiting for Lando to return home, not when I could be by his side, sharing in his happiness firsthand.

With determination coursing through my veins, I began to pack, tossing essentials into a bag with haphazard abandon. Clothes, toiletries, anything I might need for a quick trip away from home. There was no time for careful planning or deliberation; every second counted, and I was determined to make the most of them.

As I raced to the airport, my mind buzzed with anticipation. What would Lando say when he saw me? Would he be surprised, or would he see right through my impromptu adventure? It hardly mattered. All that mattered was being there, with him, in that moment of blissful victory.

The hours passed in a blur as the plane soared through the sky, carrying me ever closer to my destination. With each passing mile, my excitement grew, a fizzy mixture of nerves and anticipation swirling in my chest.

And then, finally, I was there.

Stepping off the plane and into the warm embrace of Miami's evening air, I felt a surge of adrenaline course through my veins. I had made it. I was here.

I stood outside Lando's hotel room, my heart pounded with nervous excitement. I took a deep breath, trying to calm the butterflies swirling in my stomach, before reaching into my purse for the spare key they had given me.

The door clicked open quietly, and I slipped inside, careful not to make a sound. The room was dimly lit, the soft glow of the bedside lamp casting shadows across the familiar space. Lando lay sprawled across the bed, his chest rising and falling in the steady rhythm of sleep.

A smile tugged at my lips as I watched him, the warmth of affection swelling in my chest. He looked so peaceful, so serene, his usually animated features softened in repose. I couldn't help but marvel at the sight of him, my heart swelling with love for the man who had stolen it so completely.

With gentle steps, I made my way to the bed, sinking down beside him with a soft sigh. I reached out, brushing a lock of hair from his forehead, marveling at the softness of his skin beneath my touch. He stirred slightly, a faint murmur escaping his lips, and I felt a rush of tenderness wash over me.

"Lando," I whispered, my voice barely more than a breath. "Wake up, love."

His eyelids fluttered open, revealing the sleepy warmth of his gaze. He blinked blearily, confusion flickering across his features before recognition dawned in his eyes.
