Finding a moment to be alone with Koa was difficult.

It's not as if he can wander away from Ax often, that's not how his "curse" worked.

But what he could do was stay awake until Koa's shift. Now that was easy – K didn't need to sleep so it didn't matter to him.

It was even better if K took a shift before Koa since he got to wake the tiefling up.

It was also the worst part since Koa could sleep through anything. He'd probably also sleep through the world ending.

Which led to him now, trying to gently shake Koa awake. Which he'd been doing for a good while now.

"Koa, wake up." K groaned, his arm was getting tired "Darlin' c'mon, ya gotta get up" to that he earned a slight grumble in response.

Well, it was working!

"Darlin', I ain't taking your whole shift." He would if it wouldn't be suspicious. "I already took half of it, ya gotta help a man out here, doll." Was he begging this man to wake up? Maybe. But it was working, considering Koa sat up and looked at K.

"Good mornin', finally awake are we?" K then realised just how close he was to Koa's face, freaked out, and tried to move back. He moved too fast and fell over in the process, earning a small laugh from Koa.

K sat back up and rolled his eyes. He huffs at Koa earning another laugh from Koa, k didn't mind hearing the tiefling's laugh but knowing he was laughing at him made his face heat up in a way it hadn't in years.

"Why did you spend so long trying to wake me up?" Koa finally asks, yawning and rubbing his eye, k only tilts his head and raises an eyebrow.

"Why do ya think? It ain't my shift, it's yours Darlin'" K responds, moving so he's sitting right beside Koa.

"Shouldn't you sleep then?" Koa asks, looking down to the side at K. He tilts his head a little, k only responds by shaking his head and resting it against Koa's shoulder, to which the tiefling tensed up for a moment before relaxing again.

"don'tcha wanna speak to me, doll?" K jokes, trying his best not to get flustered at the proximity. He was the one who initiated it he couldn't back out now.

Koa hummed in response, wrapping his arm around K. Clearly K could only have the upper hand for so long before it was taken from him.

But it felt nice, he was comfortable.

He likes this.
