Ax huffed and crossed his arms before sitting on the ground, he didn't want to go to Thauna. He supposed it was his idea, but Kal was still trying to argue that he wasn't teleporting them if he had to go to Thauna.

Is it so bad that Ax wanted to see if there was anything useful there?

Kal sighed and sat down beside Ax, "Ah ain't budging on this, Kid" he said, leaning back on his hands to look up at the sky, "an' ah've told ya – ya can't be in Thauna unless ya wanna look human" Ax grumbled in response, looking at the sky too. The clouds were nice, they made him feel less alone? It felt like he understood them, they changed – they were never the same.

"I can look human," Ax muttered, not looking away from the sky, he heard a small laugh from beside them and they scoffed, "What? 's not funny!" Kal laughed a bit more, and Ax could feel himself growing annoyed, "Stop laughin', Kal!"

Kal didn't stop, giggling until he couldn't breathe, "you'd willingly make make yerself uncomfortable jus' to be in Thuania?" He said between breaths, of course Kal found it funny. Ax hardly changed his race often.

Ax huffed and stood up, "if ah do, do we still gotta walk?"

"nah, I jus' wanna see what yer perception of a human is now" Kal patiently crossed his legs and grinned at Ax.

Ax glared at him "Ya can't watch-"

"Ah've seen it before!"

"Okay?! Ah don' want ya to watch!"

Kal rolled his eyes moving to turn around, sitting with his back turned to the changeling. Ax glared at him one last time before shifting his race – it's not like it was drastic, he didn't change his height or anything. Just done his best to look like a human, and with what little humans they'd seen they felt like they did a good job.

Albeit he looked a lot like Kal – maybe this wasn't a good-

"Ya done?" Kal sounded bored, Ax grumbled in response and Kal looked at them. His eyes widened when they landed on Ax before he got up and came over to the changeling.

Ax was about to say something when Kal ruffled his hair, "hah! Ya look like me!" He said, he sounded awfully happy about it, "never thought ah'd see what it looked like if ah had a brother," Kal stood back, smiling.

Ax glared up at the demon, "Yer the worst,"

"can't say that when ya base that look on me – oh mah god ya even got the freckles" Kal pinched Ax's cheek – Ax didn't think he could glare anymore, "haha! Jus' a little me!" Ax did not like how happy Kal sounded right now.

"ya done, we got somewhere to be, Kal,"

"ah yeah, two seconds-" Kal turned around to grab something he left on the ground, Ax didn't care enough.

But when Kal turned around Ax smiled, he looked like Kal – he knew that. It felt nice to look like his brother- not brother. Guardian? He felt like a brother.

It made Kal happy, Ax didn't expect that.

And they couldn't help but feel like Kal might be a little proud of them.
