Last night after the street events.

My legs shake nervously and Antonio runs his arms down my thighs.

"Calm down. Take a deep breath."

"I don't understand! What do you mean you won't be around the house for a week? Is Fedorov back? Is he out to hurt me? Is he going to kill you!? Tell me, Antonio!" I let out, frustrated.

"I'm sorry, Emilia. We're in deep shit. They need me more than they've ever needed me. It's like a never-ending full shift. If anything happens to my family I'll never forgive myself. Essentially since they aim to kill Christina and steal everything we have and our mafia. He wants to wipe us out and remove us from the charts so we have to start from scratch to build what generations of families have worked for."

I shake my head, a tear slipping from my eye and Antonio quickly wipes it away with his thumb. "I'm scared, Antonio. What will happen to me? I have work. Photoshoots. Will Dean be there?"

"No. You'll be with Tate in her home in Lakeside. Her men will take you around. You know Carlo and Donny right?"

I nod and look down at my lap.

"Hey, I'll be around. Maybe. I'm not sure with all my office work and my work back at the warehouse and in the manor."

I shake my head. "I'm going to miss you."

"I'll miss you too, baby. I'll see you soon. I promise."

4 weeks later...

It's been four weeks. Four weeks and I haven't heard from him.

He only contacted me three times and that was the first week.

Tate tells me not to worry that he's probably just really busy with things and she hasn't seen Christian either and that amount of time.

I know she's upset though she tries to be brave. Raising her kids on her own while her husband is busy must be hard. Especially since things haven't gotten back like this since five years ago with the French mafia.

Emilio is only just over two months old. He's still very new to the world and doing it on her own is not easy.

She wants to be there for them but with all this going on, she has to have Maya with her parents for most of the time. She's way too young to understand what's going on and as Emilio is still growing, he needs his mother to be properly nursed.
