I let out a heavy breath as I lifted the large weight in front of me.

The gym wasn't full on a Thursday so I decided to go early. It's quiet. Just how I like it.

I woke up thinking about the situation with Emilia and I want to know more. More about her and her situation and I know it is wrong of me.

Because I probably won't ever discuss my problems with her so why should I know hers?

I pull my headphones over my ears and continue working on my arms.

I heard light conversations which were mostly gym-based questions from clients to trainers and just normal gym helpers.

Sweat ripples down my forehead as I finish up my workout and make my way towards the lockers.

I groan as I smell the changing rooms.

The atmosphere is hot, sweaty and humid because of all of the body heat in such a small area.

I decide to take a quick shower without checking my phone because every time I do, I'm asked to leave early or there are important things do me doing causing me to drive around in my disgusting sweaty state.

The last thing I want.

I remove my clothes and head into the shower with a groan as the pebbles of hot water fall down my back.

I wash my body with my body wash supplied by Tate's line Everskin which works wonders for my body. It smells of mint.

After a few minutes, I finish up and change into my black joggers and I white shirt.

I wave at the downstairs receptionist before taking the elevator downstairs to the underground car park.

I start my car and quickly glance at my phone and my brows furrow.

Emilia.

4 missed calls from Emilia.

She called. She called. Oh fuck.

Does she hate that I asked her personal questions yesterday?

I swallow and call her and with the third ring, she answers.

"Antonio. Are you busy? I woke up to look for you but you were gone. And one of your men is sitting in the living room." Her soft voice speaks.

"Uh. I'm not busy. I just needed to let out some steam at the gym around here before work and I told Dean to stay with you because I didn't want to leave you alone." I answer, putting my phone on speaker and drive out of the parking.

Emilia takes a breath and I hear a lot of shuffling on her end then she speaks. "I'm sorry for yelling at you. I feel so guilty. You were just asking I don't need to be so mean about-"

"Emilia. It's okay. I understand. You told me to stop and I didn't. I'm sorry." I apologise, stopping at a red light.

Emilia hums. "So, are you coming home before you go to work?"

"Yeah. I am."

"Good. Cool. I wanted to see you before you left, to see you're not mad at me."

I chuckle lightly. "I'm not mad at you."

She laughs softly over the phone and I swear it's becoming my favourite sound.

"I'll see you in a few minutes."

I end the call and drive again as the lights turn green and I turn the corners suddenly looking forward to coming home.

Luce grins at me as I walk towards the doors.

"Yes, Luce?" I ask with a sigh.

He shakes his head. "Oh, nothing. Have a good conversation, sir."

"Conversation?"

"Yes. You and Ms Emilia argued last night right? It was very obvious and telling by the little smile on your face as you walked just now you are starting to make up. No?"

I narrow my eyes at him because of how accurate he is.

I turn to look at my right and left then I walk inside with a little mutter. "Mind your business."

Luce laughs as I make my way to the elevator.

When I arrive at my large door, I type in the code and enter the apartment.

"Antonio," Emilia says immediately. "I wasn't expecting you all that quick."

"The gym is not too far from here."

She nods. "Right." She fiddles with her fingers. "I'm glad you're here."

I smirk. "It is my house."

She closes her eyes and squeezes her fingers. "Stop," she huffs a laugh. "I'm nervous."

"I make you nervous?"

"A little."

I hum. "Well, I have to get ready for work now. How about we go on a date tonight?"

Emilia looks up at me in shock. "Pardon?"

"You heard me, Tink. Wear something nice for me."

There's a light blush spread across her face and she nods. "Yeah. I will."
