SS: The origine of the World

In the dark void amidst ancient stars, there existed an ancient and preeminent entity. This being would later be known by its creations as Chaos, or the King of Chaos. On a whim, he decided to create the world we know today. Following this, he created three lesser entities: the Demon King, the Supreme Deity, and the Sacred Tree. Each of these entities would go on to create their own realms and races in their own image, which are now known as Demons, Goddesses, and Fairies.

After observing what his initial creations had done, Chaos sought to create a new race in his own image. His first attempt resulted in the Giants, but he was disappointed with the outcome, as they were extremely savage and slaves to their own power, knowing nothing but to inflict pain. Because the Giants were not successful, Chaos tried again and created Humans. Despite being the most fragile of all the races, the Human race was considered by Chaos to be the best. This was due to the emotions all humans possessed, which represented, in a single word, chaos.

With this breakthrough, Chaos finally found the missing piece for his final creation and the last Lesser Deity known to mankind. This deity was called the Shift Queen. She embodied all the aspects that Chaos was pleased with. The Shift Queen had the ability to bestow power upon any of Chaos's other creations. After learning all she could about the other races, she decided to create her own unique race in her own image, hoping not to disappoint her creator. Thus, the Shifters were born.

She granted them the ability to take the form of any other race, incorporating the most important traits of each race into her creation. She chose not to create many of them, believing that a smaller number would make them more special. Chaos was pleasantly surprised by her creation. However, this success fueled jealousy in the Demon King and the Supreme Deity.

Already filled with jealousy and apprehension towards their creator, they feared that their own creations would lose the love and respect of their people due to the Shifters' superior nature in power and rank. This was the final straw for them, and they decided to join forces to betray Chaos and the Shift Queen, sealing them away. Subsequently, they ordered their people to eradicate the Shifters. Most perished, and the survivors were forced to hide among the other races.

Later on, because they no longer shifted their forms, the Shifters lost their ability to do so, and their descendants came to believe they were simply one of the other races. Thus, the Shift race became a mere fantasy story, or so it was believed by the people of the world. However, soon there would be born a Shift Princess who would bring the story of the Shifters back into the world.
