Ali's POV
I got back to the hotel and frantically started to pack, who knows what will happen next, and I don't like the sensation of not knowing what's around the corner. Especially now with all of the secrecy that is happening, I feel like I have to look over my shoulder all the time now after the events of today.
In summary today has been well, eventful...
Caspar is my blackmailing fake boyfriend, I'm being threatened to keep my mouth shut, Jack and Finn know who I am, or at least I think they do. I met Phil who got a selfie with me after bumping into me and my books, then saw the lovely Dan and he sang Blank Space, and it wasn't out of tune, Zoe is asking me questions which I can't give an answer to and now I'm going home.
Fun times for Ali.
As I get all of my bags and head down the lift my phone begins to ring, another unknown number. I let out a loud sigh and answer it, hoping it wouldn't be another threatening phone call like there was this morning. "Hello? Who is speaking?" I said politely, trying to remain as calm as I could without giving into fear.
"People know who you are now. Watch your back at all times, if you keep your eyes off the game people will cheat with the system and take you down." A deep booming voice said, then the line went dead. I quickly put my phone back into my bag and Iooked around the lift, seeing if there were cameras or someone spying on me, but there were none.
What did that mean?
Were they trying to help me? Was that a piece of advice from the same person who threatened me this morning? Maybe it's someone else, it has to be. But who?
Leaving the hotel was a bit trickier than I first thought it would be, as when the lift doors opened and I got out, the hood of my jacket for stuck in the door and started to rise up. "Excuse me? Can I have some help at all?!" I raised my voice I'm alert slightly as I saw the receptionist sat there staring at a screen, paying no attention to me whatsoever. "Right well, guess its just a job for me then." I tried to climb out of the jacket but it doesnt work and I can feel the fabric ripping apart, but not fast enough for me to get out. Just as it starts to feel tight around my throat I turn around facing the lift then I see a pair of hands with scissors cutting at the fabric, releasing me from the lift. I let out a huge sigh of relief as I rub my hand around my neck, easing it a bit from the pressure it went through.
As I turned around I was pleasantly surprised, greeting me was a very happy person with a very big grin on his face. "Jim!" I happily greet him as I give him a big non hesitant hug. "Wait. What are you doing here? How did you find me?" I asked him as I pulled away from our hug.
"Jess told me, she said to messaged her and you would do in a case of an emergency. Ali, come with me, we'll go out to lunch and talk shall we?" He picked up some of my luggage, leaving me with the lighter of items. Well now I know telling Jess things and specifically telling her not to tell anyone doesn't work, so much for pinky promises.
I looked to Jim who had the longing look on his face which he knew would win me over eventually. "We shall." I replied as we walked out of the hotel and I glimpsed back seeing the remains of my hood as it went up and down the lift doors.
When we got outside and opened my car boot I felt odd, as there in front of me was all of Caspars stuff for today and tomorrow. Jim looks confused and turns to me, then he sees the look on my face and slowly closes the boot. "I think I'll drive." He says as he opens the back car doors and puts my luggage in there.
We got into the car and I sat in silent for a while, just thinking how Caspar could've done this to me. The temptation to rummage through his luggage, see why he has been so deceiving and such a back stabber.
