I’m not an arguer or someone who enjoys conflict. I believe in working out issues in a peaceful manner that brings both people to a solution. Talking things through is the only way to do so. If you can't, taking a break and returning to it works too.

Unfortunately, I forgot about telling the person about said break.

It was a small thing. I told Aris that he should really start coming to Blondie nights to bond with some of the girls, and my tone was more snappy than I intended. I didn't realize until after I said it and he didn't say anything, making me think about that I hurt his feelings. Since we had never had any problems before, the opposite of those actually, I kind of told him I’d see him later and left so nothing could happen.

He still didn't come to Blondie night. So I skipped out to see if I could find out why. Like maybe some of the girls were giving him dirty looks again or overall making this place unbearable. Maybe he really was just that shy.

I didn't expect him to be with her. I didn't expect her to be holding his hand and leaning her head on his shoulder.

I genuinely like everyone here. They all have their flaws and good things. There's no real reason to hate anyone.

Her though, there is every reason to hate Y/E/N. Aris only got here three Blondies ago so he couldn't know, but the older girl's definitely did.

I just sort of forced her to her own hut, away from everyone, exactly where she belonged. Aris tried to protest but she used her victim voice and left.

“Not her. Never her,”I said firmly.

“You can't tell me what-”
“Aris, listen to me,”I said quietly, dropping to his level. “Not her. You don't know what she's like.”

“I know what my girlfriend's like,”He tried to convince me, or maybe even himself.

“Aris, you're fitting in great, but-”
“You don't seem to think so,”He interrupted.

“What?”

“You think I need to be around them all the time for them to like me.”

“That's not true. I just thought that it would be a good chance to know you better and for you to feel more connected to us,”I explained.

“YE/N-”
“She's bad news. There's a reason she's always alone.”

“You all outcasted her,”He accused.

“So that's the story she went with this time?”

“It isn't a story. It's true.”

“Listen, I really do love that you're here. I love having you around, but you also just got here. I’ve known her longer than anyone has, and I was the first here.”

“Then she would be second-in-command?”He half asked, half told me.

“She was, but we had to take that away and give it to Harriet. She's cruel. She'll make you feel like you're the greatest and tear you down. She'll isolate you from other girls and make you villainize yourself in your own head. She'll make everything your fault. She'll lie, steal, cry, yell, and do everything she can to get her way. She hurts people, and she's going to hurt you.”

“She wouldn't do that,”He kept going.

“She would. She literally got stripped of her title for beating up one of her victims during a tantrum, and she would do it again. I don't want that to happen to you. I want nothing but the best for you. You're my friend, and I don't want to see you cry over someone who doesn't deserve your tears.”

“I don't believe you,”He shrugged.

“But Aris-”
“No. I don't believe you,”He repeated.

“Aris, I-”
“No,”He snapped, crossing his arms over his chest.

“Please? I know she can get in your head, but I need you to trust me.”

“I have no reason to.”

“But I’m your friend. I’m your friend who cares for and loves you,”I whispered.

“You should go.”

“Aris-”
“You need to leave,”He said in a more demanding tone. Sitting still, I just waited for him to say not to. I waited for him to tell me he would think about my words just a little bit.

He didn't though. He just half glared at me.

“You know what? Fine, but when she hurts you don't you dare come crying to me,”I scowled, slamming his door open and storming out. Walking straight down to mine, I ignored the cracks in my heart as I curled up in my bed, shoes and all.

Hugging my knees to my chest, I cried as I remembered the way her fist had made contact with my skin. From my lip that she had busted, from my eyes that she hit until they were completely black, and stomach that she punched until I was about to throw up, she was almost the first person that was set to be banished despite not being stung. For a reason I can't and don't want to remember though, she stayed.

With the memories coming through mind, I sobbed as if it would fix anything until I passed out.
