Freen sits on the ledge of the dark building watching the people below. It is a cold night close to midnight and most of the city is asleep except for the few drunks stumbling out of the local bars. She sighs as she watches a group of 3 old men stumble out of Nightscape bar drunk out of their mind. They laugh and stumble over each other as they walk down the street. She sometimes wished she was human so she could drink her worries away like them but unfortunately vampires can't get drunk. No matter how much they drink alcohol has no effect on them. Probably something to do with being technically and supernatural.

She remembers the days when she was human and she would go out to drink with her friends and go home and sleep after. Oh heavens how she missed sleep. Being able to be dead to the world for hours without a care in the world. And death. Sweet death. As a human she would fear death, but now that she has lived hundreds of years she wished death would take her one day. But she knew that day would not likely come as death for vampires was an unlikely occurrence. For now she was stuck following her daily routine of many years, people watching. She watched as the men huddled by a dark alley each leaning on the wall relieving their full bladders. "Disgusting humans." She spat to herself shaking her head in disgust.

Although she once was a human too, it had been so long ago she forgot what it felt like to be one. What it felt like to feel your heart beat and feel the blood running through your veins. All she knew now was immortality. She was about to walk away when she noticed a young girl walking down the sidewalk. She looked no older than 18 and seemed lost. She stopped to watch her as she approached the alley with the 3 men who were now stumbling out towards her. "Well, well, well. Look what we got ourselves here." One of the fat drunk men said as he placed himself in front of the young girl impeding her way.

She looked scared and with a shaky voice managed to say, "E-excuse me." as she tried to walk past him. "Wait, where you going pretty lady? What's the hurry?" The other bearded man said as he took her hand and spun her around to face him. "I'm late and my friends are expecting me." She said trying to pull away from them. "Don't you want to have fun with us? We can show you a good time." They encircled her pushing her into the alley. "Wait, let me go! Don't touch me!" They began placing their dirty hands on her and pulling at her clothes.

Freen watched from the roof sighing at the scene before her and in the blink of an eye she was on the sidewalk by the alley entrance. "Hey, you three! Leave her alone!" She said in a deep angry tone. The men whipped their heads to watch her and smiled when they laid their eyes on her. She was stunning. Her white porcelain skin gave off a luminescent hue in the moonlight and her dark hair draped beautifully over her broad shoulders. She was slender but strong and her eyes were big and round. They stared at her in awe as if a dark angel had just dropped down and graced them with her presence.

"Whoah there, where did you come from?" Freen looked at them with a bored face and rolled her eyes. "Let her go." She said again with finality. They looked at each other and laughed before they began to approach her. "Don't worry baby, we have enough for you too." They surrounded her and she cringed at the sudden dirty thoughts coming into her mind from them. One of the many gifts Freen held as a vampire was being able to hear humans thoughts and wishes before they spoke them. She could hear and picture all the vile and crude actions the men intended to do to both her and the young girl.

"You filthy animals!" She spat at them as they continued to approach her. The leader of the three reached out to touch her cheek but before he could lay a finger on her, he has on his knees with one arm behind his back begging for mercy. Freen continued to twist his arm causing him to squeal in pain before she kicked him with force on his back knocking him forward and knocking him out. The other two men looked at her in surprise of her supernatural speed and strength. "Woah, who are you?" The bearded man asked as he approached her upset.
