tori, rory and lorelai walked into luke's, tori flinching slightly at the loud noises. luke's wasn't exactly quiet usually but with the construction above them, there was more. she tired to tune out the hammering and drilling but it was difficult.

"jeez, look at this place," lorelai commented.

"it's a mess," rory agreed.

tori glanced up, "and loud."

luke rushed over, "nope, can't sit here."

"why not?" lorelai sought.

"three people got nailed in the head here earlier."

"but their food was okay, right?"

"will you just move," luke huffed.

tori glanced back up at the ceiling, "yeah, please can we move? i don't wanna get knocked out by ceiling plaster, that would be embarassing."

lorelai's phone started ringing, interrupting the conversation.

luke pointed to the door, "outside."

"you know, if i sit here one more second, i might just be outside," she joked, causing luke to walk away. "order me coffee."

tori nodded, watching her leave before jess approached in a hard hat. he said nothing, only opening an umbrella and handing it to her.

"oh, this is bad luck," she muttered, taking it reluctantly as luke scolded jess. once jess was out of hearing range, he turned back to tori.

"i would keep it open."

rory leaned over, taking cover as part of the ceiling fell.

"would you look at that, the sky is falling," tori quipped.

---

lorelai was going to a spa with emily, leaving the twins alone in the house. so, their big friday night plans included a twin's night, which was just watching tv, eating the indian food that lorelai didn't like and doing their laundry.

and no amount of pressing from their mom would make them throw a party, even if she wanted her daughters to do something bad while she was away. she was of course ignoring the fact that tori had admitted to vandalism only a few weeks prior.

the back and forth was stopped when emily gilmore, known for hating honking, honked from the driveway. the three rushed to the window, seeing the reason she had done so. there she was in a limo.

"god, they have more money than they know what to do with," tori muttered. she was slightly glad they did, however, considering they were paying for her chilton tuition.

after a quick hello and a quicker goodbye, the twins were on their way too school and to their first lesson of the day. chemistry.

she was sat in front of paris and diagonal from madeline and louise. she could hear them having some sort of conversation but she ignored them as she flicked through the chemistry lab they had been given back. she got an a plus, finding the few questions she had gotten wrong.
