minutes after vee had finished her conversation, there was a knock at her bedroom door. she called out to let them in.

lorelai entered, seeing tori at her desk, envelopes covering it, "are those..."

she didn't need to finish, tori knew exactly what she was asking, "yeah."

lorelai stepped closer, eyeing the envelopes, seeing they were all in fact, the big envelopes, the yes envelopes, "holy- tori are they all-"

she nodded, "yeah. i got in."

lorelai's face brightened, "you got into yale?"

it seemed that was all it took for it to sink in for tori, her eyes began watering as she smiled, "yeah. i got into yale!"

lorelai pulled her up and into a hug, "well, according to paris, you might be the biggest virgin ever."

she chuckled, "i got into yale."

lorelai laughed too, "emily and richard were wrong."

she nodded, laughing through her teary eyes, "yeah, they were. the assholes."

---

rory had taken to creating pro/con lists for the colleges she had gotten into. vee left it alone, knowing she was accepting yale. she'd been weighing the pros/cons of the colleges when she first applied.

she also avoided the topic, not wanting to feel like she was bragging, not with rory so excited about getting into three ivy league's. tori excused herself, going up to the counter to see jess.

"you got any muffins?" she asked.

he grabbed a bag, handing it over, "here."

"you had that ready?"

"you've ordered the same thing for two weeks, i had it ready," he answered. "what's with the paper?" he asked, nodding towards her table.

she shrugged, "pro/con lists for rory. she got into harvard, yale and princeton."

"oh, wow," he spoke. "have you heard anything?" she couldn't help the smile that broke out on her face. "that seems good? it is good, right?"

she nodded, "yeah."

"i'm meant to be the monosyllabic one, give me more here vee," he pushed.

"i got into all of them," she told, shrugging slightly. "yale, harvard, princeton, nyu and columbia."

jess leaned over the counter, capturing her lips in a short kiss, "well done."

"it's gonna be yale but is it bad that i feel kinda... buzzed about getting into all of them," she sought.

he shook his head, "milk it."

"well, if you tell me too then i must," she joked. luke joined them behind the counter. "hi, luke."
