thanksgiving was right around the corner, and although tori was against the celebration as it was all about the fact they massacred indigenous people for their land and resources because they were the worst, she was still forced to go to celebrations each year.
paris found tori during the school day, asking her about her thanksgiving plans before going on about college applications and how she got hers in weeks ago.
tori had also managed to get all of hers in.
once paris had finished her rant, tori stopped, needing to split off so she could go to practice, "i'll see you next week, unless you want to come to soccer practice."
"i'll pass."
"thought so," she chuckled. "oh, i'll let you know if i see any shelter needing volunteers."
---
tori, still in her soccer uniform, met up with her mom and rory as they discussed thanksgiving. they had been pulled into a dinner at their grandparents, meaning they were attending four dinners. she was very against the idea but went along since emily and richard were going away until the end of the year, so it was their last chance to be together that year.
so, they'd have to skip luke's. tori wasn't happy about that either.
after they were sat and luke told them he'd already put in their usual wednesday order, lorelai decided to bring up the whole thanksgiving issue.
"i got to get back to stuffing my turkey," luke informed.
"oh honey, do you have time to do that and prep your thanksgiving food," lorelai quipped.
"stop it. it's a tedious job."
"well, what if we told you we could stuff one less," lorelai offered.
"what do you mean?"
"we got jammed. we got shanghaied by my mother and what with the other things we've going, well, too many commitments, not enough us," she answered.
"so," luke pushed.
"we can't make it tomorrow," rory elaborated.
luke looked slightly disappointed, which they all noticed, "oh, okay. fine."
"it was beyond our control," lorelai assured.
"that's fine, whatever, i'll be right back."
they watched him walk away.
lorelai turned to the twins, "i may be crazy, but he almost looked..."
"disappointed," tori finished.
"yes, disappointed. we disappointed luke," lorelai exclaimed.
"i didn't think it was possible," tori murmured.
