paris was distracted and it meant that she took no notes in class, quickly finding tori to ask for her notes, knowing that she was freakily fast at writing.

she handed them over, "here. madeleine can borrow them too."

"thanks."

---

jess was a very affectionate person, something tori was not used to. he insisted on holding her hand and kissing her when they walked. she didn't mind too much, it was just all so new to her.

he was backing her into the gazebo as they kissed.

she pulled away, "you know it just occurred to me that we're very fortunate to have good teeth."

he kissed her cheek, "yes, very fortunate."

"could you imagine if braces were involved in this interaction?"

"it's be a bloodbath."

he kissed her jaw this time as she squeezed his arms, "i can't catch my breath."

"you're not supposed to," he responded before he began kissing her cheek once more.

"hey, listen, thursday night is the stars hollow high winter carnival, i thought we could go and meet sadie and lane and rory there. jas will probably come too because of sadie."

"nope."

he begun kissing her neck.

"but it'll be really fun."

he pulled away, "shh."

"they'll have really bad games and really bad food and there's this one corner that you can sneak away to because it's completely hidden and-"

"vee, i'm doing some of my best work here, and you're just talking right through it."

she laughed, "the work is being appreciated, trust me. let's go to the carnival."

"i don't go to these stupid town things."

"you come to my soccer matches all the time," she pointed out.

"those aren't stupid."

she smiled, "thanks, i think."

they made their way to luke's, jess holding the door open for her.

"so, you want some help with your homework?"

"you're gonna help me?"

"yeah."

"don't take this the wrong way but you're going to help me how?"

he grabbed her arm, "come upstairs, i'll show you."

"upstairs? well, you know how important my education is to me."

the pair didn't even make it to the counter as lorelai came running into luke's, "tori, hey, thank god, i need help and i can't find rory. where you going?"
