Delilah's POV:

Jace and I went for a walk and started talking about stuff. He asked what Minnesota was like.

"It's practically what you see in movies." I said, and Jace nodded. He had his arm around me.

As we were walking, I saw the team minus Gertie and Cody. Evan was there, too. Maya shot me a look, and I ignored it. She's been teasing me about Jace since we got together. We walked through the door Evan was holding.

"Sup, guys?" Jace said under his breath. "Thanks." I said, passing Evan.

"Okay, guys, look, I know yesterday was tough. Okay, but today we get to pick a team captain! This is so exciting!" Alex spoke.

"Yay." Sam said, throwing up his hands a little and then flopping onto the couch next to Cody. "Come on!"

"Feels like nominating someone to be the captain of the Titanic," Nick said. "While it's sinking." He finished.

"Come on guys, this is a big moment. When Evan left, we lost a leader. We became a rudderless ship. But it's time! This is our chance to regroup! We're gonna re-rudder and rally, with a strong captain to guide us. The possibilities are endless." Koob said.

I've never heard him say something so wise. This is weird. "Koob! Maybe you should be captain?" Alex said. "Oh, oh, no, no, no! Sorry, I did not mean for that to come out so inspiring! I'm definitely not your guy! Uh, carry on." Gertie chimed in.

"Maybe we can get Evan back? Also, who is Evan?" Jace spoke up. "Well, I think Delilah should do it!" I looked at Jace like he was crazy because he was in that moment. "I appreciate the nomination, but no." Alex's phone chimes. "He's gonna help us!" She said excitedly. "Alright, everybody, get your stuff together! We are going on an unsanctioned field trip!" To where?

Alex put us all in the RV. Jace and I sat at the table. I was next to the window, and he was on the outside. His arm was around me. It always was. I wasn't mad about it.

Logan was always putting his arm around me, too, if he wasn't holding my hand. I wonder what he's doing back home in Minnesota?

I put my hand in my pocket and felt a piece of paper. I pulled it out a little bit to see what it was. It looked like a note. I put it back in my pocket so no one would know.

We went down a familiar road. Everything gave me deja vu. I saw a big building. No. It can't be! "Kids, I present to you, The Honda Center!" It is! I remember when Dad, Shawn, Uncle Fulton, Uncle Ken, Logan, and I went here for my 15th birthday!

Since it was my first birthday with Dad, he wanted to go big! We got to see the Anaheim Ducks play! It was so cool! We all got out, and I had a big smile on my face. It slowly faded because I thought of Logan, but I kept smiling. "Pretty exciting, right? This team was formed. This building was built because of a group of kids, just like you!"

I am proud to be a daughter and niece of those kids!

"Today, we are meeting the head coach of the Anaheim Ducks!" This will be a fun reunion. I noticed Jace was a little off. "You okay?" "Yeah, yeah, I'm fine." We walked into the arena.

The assistant guy said since we're ducks we're first class, but we can't meet head coach.

"Yes, they can, Gabe," I heard a familiar voice say. "When it comes to my niece," He walked out of his office."It's always an exception." I smiled big at him. "Uncle Charlie!" I yelled, running into his arms. "Mini Portman!" He replied. "How's your dad and Fulton doing?" "Good! They're working on our skating rink back home." "Nice! So, what's my favorite niece doing here?" "I'm telling my cousins." "Please don't."
