Wednesday POV:
"My stomach hurts" the writing reads I look at her and get out of the classroom without the teacher knowing. Aurora is a werewolf which basically means she's a big dog with big teeth but she's cute though I have to give her that. We get to our dorm and unlock it but instead of mine and Aurora's bed the head teacher is standing in the dorm.
"Girls, why are you out of class?" Weems asked.
"Sorry miss, I felt sick," Aurora says with a hand on her stomach.
"Well, sorry girls, but Wednesday we're switching your roommate. Sorry, Aurora," Weems tells her with a sad smile.
I groan. "Who is it?" I ask her.
"Enid Sinclair," she tells me, looking around the room. "I have informed her to come to this room after class," Weems says just as the bell rings. A minute later the door opens and Enid walks in.
"I was supposed to meet you here?" Enid asks, confused.
"Ah yes, you're staying in this room from now on," Weems tells her as she's walking to the door. I glare at her.
Aurora's POV:
Enid looks at us. "I'm sorry, was this your room?" she says, sounding sorry while looking at me. I nod, remembering my stomach still aches. I look at Wednesday and she understands.
"Come on, Bellissimo," Wednesday says. She knows I love it when she calls me that.
time skip:
Somehow we have ended up in a hotel. I'm lying on the bed trying not to think about how much pain I'm in.
"Tesoro, are you alright? Do you need anything?" Wednesday asks.
She walks over to the bed and lies down next to me and I immediately snuggle into her.
"Yes please," I say into the crook of her neck.
"What do you want me to do, Rory?" she asks.
I get up and look at her. She's so beautiful. I reach out and take her hand instead. She gently squeezes it and gives me a soft smile. We just sit there for a moment in silence, the calm washing over me.
BANG BANG
"Come on, you're not allowed to be in there," someone yells as we get up and walk to the door. The door swings open and a little fat man looks at us and points to the stairwell.
"Leave," he huffed out angrily.
"Fine, jeez, Eric," I hear Wednesday say as we walk back to Nevermore.
time skip:
We're now back at Nevermore and Aurora is in my bathroom while Enid sits on her bed watching TikTok.
Enid's POV:
I'm sitting on my bed watching TikTok trying to distract myself from the fact that my crush doesn't like me and probably never will. My thoughts are interrupted by the bathroom door opening and Aurora coming out dressed in Wednesday's clothes.
"How do I look, babe?" I hear her say as she twirls around with a smile on her face.
"Sei meravigliosa, amore mio" (you look amazing, my love), I hear Wednesday say.
"Aww, grazie tesoro" (aww thank you babe), Aurora responds. I have no idea what they are saying but it sounds romantic.
"What language is that?" I ask them, making them both suddenly turn to look at me.
"Italian," Wednesday states coldly.
"Willa, don't be so rude. Sorry, Enid," Aurora apologises. I give her a small smile and look away as she gets into bed with Wednesday.
time skip (sorry there's so many I'm just lazy) to 4am
I hear Wednesday get up and go to the balcony. I try to resist the urge to follow her but I fail and head out to her. I get out of bed trying not to wake up Aurora.
"Hey, Wednesday," I greet as I get onto the balcony. She just nods and looks back at the sky.
"Why are you so mean to me?" I ask, starting to get angry at the way she's been treating me.
"I'm mean to everyone, get used to it," she says without looking at me.
"You're not mean to Aurora," I say, knowing why she's not mean to her but I wanted to point it out.
"That's because Rory's my girlfriend and I like her better," she says, turning to look at me a little bit.
"So you don't love her," I say, noticing her not saying love.
"That's none of your business," she says, turning to face me with an angry expression.
"So you don't," I say smugly. I don't know why I'm picking a fight with her. I guess it's the only way she'll talk to me.
I'm about to say something else when the window opens and Aurora walks out with a sleepy expression.
"Babe, what are you doing out here? Come back to bed," she says, leaning on Wednesday a bit.
"I'll be there in a minute, Rory," Wednesday says, giving her a kiss before Aurora goes back inside.
"Are you gonna tell her?" I ask her.
"About what?" she asks with a scowl.
"That you don't love her," I say, looking at the floor and feeling ashamed.
"No. And you shouldn't either. I'm going to learn to love her," she says with a bit of guilt in her eyes.
Suddenly, she stepped closer and just looked at me, head slightly tilted, eyes narrowed like she was dissecting a puzzle only she could solve. It wasn't hostile, just... strange. Curious, maybe. Intense, definitely. I didn't move. For a second, it felt like she was about to say something, but instead, she gave the faintest nod, barely there, and turned without a word, disappearing into the dorm. I stayed where I was, unsure what had just happened, and very aware of the cold.
Wednesdays POV:
I don't know what came over me. I didn't touch her, didn't say anything, I just looked at her, and somehow that one look said everything I couldn't bring myself to say out loud. There was something in her eyes too, like she saw right through me. I gave her a nod and turned away before the silence got too heavy, quickly walking back inside. Aurora was curled up on my bed, fast asleep, completely unaware. I lay down beside her, eyes wide open, trying to convince myself that nothing had happened at all.
time skip it's now 7 am
I haven't slept at all. I've just been laying here thinking about what happened and the more I think about it the more I annoyed I get. I hear Aurora start to wake up so I pretend to be asleep.
"Good morning, Willa," Aurora says as I pretend to wake up.
"Good morning, Rory" I mutter as she kisses me on the cheek. I look across the room to see Enid looking at us. I look away and start to thinking about last night again.
"Come on, we've got to get ready," Aurora says as she starts to get up.
"I'm actually feeling a bit ill. I think I'm gonna stay here," I tell her with a sad face.
"Oh baby, are you okay? Do you need anything?" Aurora asks me worriedly.
"No, Tesoro, I'm fine. You don't have to worry about me," I tell her, hoping she won't worry. She gives me a kiss on the forehead before leaving to get her school uniform.
Great. Now I'm stuck in a room with the girl who looked at me like she saw every secret I've ever tried to hide.
