It was the next day and you had finally fixed your sleeping schedule, along with Mossguard's sleeping schedule too.

That was something to be proud of, but you knew you'd end up messing it up later on despite trying to fall asleep a little earlier and wake up a little earlier.

Both you and Mossguard were simply patrolling/walking around the island without any sort of issue.

You weren't too keen on just walking around the island, and most would call you lazy for it.

Except was it really being lazy if Vanaheim was so big and had a lot of ways to hurt your feet during it.

Today was a day that you felt a little bit on edge by the island for no reason and you really didn't know why.

Maybe it was some type of aura or some type of second sense you had that wasn't really true.

You crossed your arms as you walked with Mossguard, looking around a little, Hearing the occasional dragon roars and shrieks that were coming from the other sides of the island and were simply echoing through the caves or even the forests.

It never really bothered you too a large extent.

"Come on, can't we just fly around for a little? This is really gonna get annoying after a while." You sighed, Rolling your eyes as you continued to walk beside Mossguard.

Mossguard roared in an almost mockingly manner as he walked across the ground, wings flapping a little bit as he sniffed around for anything that was unusual to him.

You couldn't tell if he was also on edge about the island today and what was going on, but you knew that there was something stirring on the island right now and it definitely wouldn't be good.

It was an extremely bad feeling.

"Mossguard, can't you literally just fly around and patrol the island so that we can be back at the cave in like... 2 hours maximum?" You asked, lifting an eyebrow as you crossed your arms as your eyes went into a laze.

Mossguard roared at you to stop complaining, tail gently swaying as he continued to walk into a clearing, eating Vanaheim fruit on the way off the tree.

He stopped.

He seemed to spot something within the clearing, and you stepped inside the clearing too to see what he found.

Your eyes narrowed almost immediately.

There were multiple singe marks on the ground and a few chains that were on the ground that must've fallen from mid-air with the way they were placed.

"What..?" You said, staring at what was there in the clearing.

It looked like it was directly from a Stoker Class dragon with how much of the ash was still there, and it looked like it happened overnight with how the ash was displayed and if it was burning or not.

"I wonder what did this..."

Mossguard stepped over to the singe marks and the fire, eyes narrowing slightly as he sniffed at the marks, before stepping back.

Not even the blind dragon knew what it was, which wasn't exactly a knew thing.

He'd probably know if he had a much better memory, except he didn't exactly keep any sort of memory about what dragon to do what.

He just acted.

You stepped towards the singe marks and kneeled down to see what was there, and it was definitely stoker but it wasn't monstrous nightmare, terrible terror, etc.

Monstrous Nightmare's were on the island and had much less controlled flames while the Terrible Terrors were much too small and didn't have that much firepower for such.

"Let's not dwell on this for too long. It's probably a passing monstrous nightmare who ran into something it didn't like or a singetail, maybe even a different stoker class entirely." You said, standing up once again and crossing your arms.

You were still a little bit on edge about what was going on, but you shrugged it off and pat Mossguard's wing to let him know that he could call off all the worry and his little moment he had with sniffing out what was there.

Mossguard straightened his back out and adjusted himself, eyes narrowing a little as he grunted but stepped back and lowered his body so that you could hop onto his back.

You got onto his back and adjusted yourself before he finally took off and he almost immediately flew elsewhere and mainly towards the cave where the both of you resided.

"I'm sure we'll both forget about this in 2 weeks and then the grass will grow over the singe marks. It shouldn't be that bad." You deadpanned, crossing your arms as your head tilted from side to side before almost immediately grabbing onto a rock when he began to climb the skies to get up to a promising altitude.

Mossguard roared gently before landing on the rocky ledge and gently letting you get off by lowering his back.

"I assume you'll stay out for a few more hours?" You asked, lifting an eyebrow.

Mossguard roared and nodded at you, his head turned a little bit in the wrong direction but it was fine.

You didn't tell him that he was looking the wrong way, since it'd be a little bit rude and make him think that you were thinking less of him due to his extremely poor eyesight.

You pat the side of his head and watched as he turned before stiffening himself out and going back into a stationary position like most sentinels.

You walked back inside the cave and stretched as soon as you were deep into it to the point where you wouldn't be able to see Mossguard if you weren't in a certain position, though Mossguard could still smell you just in case.

You then walked over to grab a piece of mutton, one you'd be able to finish without any sort of interruption that could happen.

Not that anything would happen.

At least you hoped.

No- prayed.
