Chapter 75

Wei Wuxian was exhausted but he was still over the moon to have his little A'Yuan back. Wangji has also been elated that his son was finally here, but he still had to worry for the two as there were still threats outside of Celestial Mountian that are after his little family. Now that A'Yuan is born, something is more than likely to happen soon.

At the moment, Wuxian was sound asleep and A'Yuan had just eaten before Wuxian fell asleep. A'Yuan was currently being held by Wangji as he sat on the bed comfortably beside Wuxian. Xichen stopped by a couple times already as he was happy to see his nephew. He also knows that Wangji will be stressing over this whole Madam Yu situation. Xichen wanted to do what he could to ease them of that worry. He has people looking for Madam Yu constantly.

"Want me to take him for a little while so you can get some rest?" Xichen asked.

"It's alright," Wangji said, "but if you want to hold him, you can."

"I just want to help you out a little bit. You are going to have a lot of sleepless nights with the baby here. I thought maybe you'd like to rest for a while," Xichen said.

Wangji shook his head, "I rested while Wei Ying was feeding him. Now it's his turn to rest," Wangji said, "but I do appreciate it."

Xichen nodded and Wangji handed him A'Yuan as he wanted to hold him, "he is fairly calm for a baby," Xichen stated.

"He is a Lan," Wangji said, "but he is also a Wei so he will be playful eventually. Wei Ying will be sure of that...we talked about staying at Celestial Mountain a little longer, even if Madam Yu was caught. It's calm here and less people are around."

"I can understand if you need more time away," Xichen said, "I will let Shufu know too. I even understand if you choose to reside here."

"Wei Ying and I need to discuss it further," Wangji said. Wuxian just so happened to move closer to Wangji and lay his head on Wangji's lap. Wangji smiled and lightly ran his fingers through Wuxian's hair, occasionally moving it from blocking his face.

"I am proud of how far you've come," Xichen said, "before him, you wouldn't get close to anyone, but when he showed up, it's like something flipped in you."

Wangji nodded, "I guess I didn't want to admit it then but I did feel something about him that I never felt before. He was so loud and chaotic but he drew me in...when I saw how much he was affected by what those juniors said, I really understood why I felt the way I did."

"We never found out who made such an array but because of those juniors, it saved him from death," Xichen said.

"If that person made those arrays once, I'm sure that same person would do that in this timeline too," Wangji said, "all we can do is observe those around us for now."

Xichen nodded, "I can speak with Baoshan about it and see if she has any ideas."

"As long as she isn't busy," Wangji said, "she has been working with Wen Qing and Wen Ning and helping them improve their medical knowledge."

"Wen Qing is already a very good healer, so I am curious to see how that goes," Xichen said.

Wangji glanced at his brother, "do you like her?"

"What? Not like that, she's just a nice girl is all," Xichen says.

Wangji nodded and didn't probe further into it. If Xichen didn't want to talk about it, Wangji won't push him. Soon Wuxian began to stir a little in his sleep, "La Zha, I'm hungwee," he mumbled.

Wangji's smile grew at how adorable his husband was, "continue to rest while I go make you something."

"Baby?" Wuxian asked.

"Brother has him," Wangji replied.

"How about I hand A'Yuan back and I go get something for you," Xichen said.

"Are you sure?" Wangji asked.

Xichen nodded as he handed A'Yuan back to Wangji, "I will be back shortly."

"Thank you," Wangji replied and watched his brother leave the room.

"He's probably going to need a change soon," Wuxian said not as sleepily this time.

"I'll do it, you need more rest," Wangji said.

"I love you," Wuxian said.

"I love you too, Wei Ying," Wangji said and leaned down to kiss him before going to change A'Yuan. When Wangji returned, Wuxian was sitting up in the bed, "are you not going to sleep more?"

"I slept for a few hours, I'm okay," Wuxian said.

Wangji sat beside him with A'Yuan in his arms, "he is all cleaned up," he said. Wangji handed him the baby and wrapped his arms around Wuxian, "how are you feeling?"

"I am feeling alright," Wuxian answered, "still a bit sore but I can manage."

"I'm proud of you," Wangji said, "you did well."

"I think it's because I had you beside me," Wuxian said, "I do not know what the future holds, but I am glad to see how it goes with you by my side."

"I always will be," Wangji said, "brother has people looking for them everywhere. We will find something soon."

"I just want to know why they are after me," Wuxian said.

"We will soon enough," Wangji said, "for now, we are safe here...I spoke to Xiongzhang about staying here even after those people have been found."

"What did he say?" Wuxian asked curiously.

"He said he supports our decision. He even said he'd support us if we chose to live here permanently," Wangji said.

"If we did do that, just know that we would still visit Gusu," Wuxian said, "I don't want you to think that you can't."

"I know," Wangji said, "and I am sure I will, but living here for the past several months has been very nice. I like that I don't have to focus on sect matters all the time and having to worry about you at the same time. I think we do better here. Plus, it's a nice place for A'Yuan to grow up and cultivate if he wants."

"He should visit Cloud Recesses from time to time too so he can make some friends," Wuxian said, "he still has yet to meet Jingyi and Jin Ling."

"Those two little ones are on the way, so it won't be long," Wangji said.

"I know, but let's hope this doesn't happen too fast. I want to savor the moment with A'Yuan being so small," Wuxian said.

"And we will," Wangji said, "perhaps in the future he can have some siblings along the way."

Wuxian giggled, "that will be a while. I don't mind sex but I am taking something to keep me from getting pregnant so soon. I want to wait a couple years. It takes a lot out of you."

"I understand," Wangji said and placed a kiss on Wuxian's cheek.

"You are a very lustrous man," Wuxian pointed out.

"Only with you," Wangji said.

"Just so you know, for health reasons, I need to refrain from sex for several weeks," Wuxian said, "Wen Qing and Wai Po's orders."

"I know," Wangji said. Wuxian giggled. He couldn't have asked for a better husband. He was happy to have Wangji as his and now they have A'Yuan back.
