Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian entered the indoctrination in Qishan and was asked to confiscate their swords right at the gate entrance. Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian complied easily. The two saw that Jin Ling and Sizhui were both there as well and gave in their swords too. Wuxian prepared them ahead of time and made fake swords and rings for them. The two stood only a couple spots away from Wangji and Wuxian. In his his new robes, Wei Wuxian was now fully representing the Lan Sect of Gusu. Though, as he and Wangji were mourning Qingheng Jun, they were in full white attire.
(Wei Wuxian's robes. I tried to find something close to what Gusu's style is. Apparently this is more of Xie Lian's white robes then Gusu but it's close enough.)
Rumors of course, have circulated about it, including him and Wangji's relationship. The two did not care much for the gossip as they knew who was responsible for sharing. It was actually a toss up between the Jiang Sect for potentially trying to humiliate the two or it was Nie Huaisang as he is a hopeless romantic and loves to gossip. Either way, it did not bother Wuxian and Wangji.
Jiang Cheng stood to Wei Wuxian's left and kept glancing over at him. Nie Huaisang was on the right side of Lan Wangji and Wuxian to his left, "I heard Qingheng Jun is dead," Jiang Cheng said calmly, "bet it had something to do with you."
Wei Wuxian flinched slightly at Jiang Cheng's words. He looked down as just took them as he always did. Lan Wangji, despite him and Wuxian mourning the man, he was livid that Jiang Cheng was be so low, "Jiang Wanyin, mind your tongue," Wangji said coldly, "after all, your family could be next."
That shut Jiang Cheng up immediately. Lan Wangji then reached out and took Wuxian's hand to assure him that it's okay, "Lan Zhan?" He whispered.
"Don not listen to his words. You hear me," Wangji told him calmly as he wiped some tears away from Wuxian's face, "he will regret his words soon enough."
"I know," Wuxian said, "thank you, and I am sorry."
"Didn't we agree not to say those words to each other?" Wangji asked.
"You're right," Wuxian said, "you can punish me later."
"Mark your words, Wei Ying."
"Lan Zhan, you know what will happen if you aren't careful. Sizhui could come early," Wuxian teased.
