Lan Xichen was informed that Wuxian has woken up through Wen Qing's little brother Wen Ning. It was good to know that Wuxian was recovering well. Since the meeting ended with Chifeng Zun and Sect Leader Jiang, Lan Xichen went to go visit him. When he arrived, he saw Wuxian was laying comfortably on the Wangji's lap. He was awake but he looked like he refused to move away from Wangji. Lan Xichen could tell that Wuxian was tense about something.

Wuxian glanced up at Xichen when he heard someone enter the room. Wuxian gave him a small smile as he was happy to see him, "Hello Ge," Wuxian said.

"Hi A'Xian, how are you feeling?" Xichen asked.

Wuxian tightened his arms around Wangji's torso, "I'm doing okay."

"Why are you holding Wangji so tight?" Xichen asked.

Wuxian shook his head and didn't want to answer. Wangji placed his hand on the back of Wuxian's head and let his fingers move around within Wuxian's hair, "he is fine," Wangji said, "we talked for a moment and he got a little worked up. He is just trying to calm down."

"What happened?" Xichen asked as he sat down on a chair near the bed.

"We were telling each other to be careful next time. He got a bit worked up when we brought up me almost getting stabbed when he moved me out of the way. He just didn't want to lose me and got upset," Wangji explained.

Xichen nodded, "It's going to be okay," he assured them, "the threats are gone now, as far as we know and you don't have to worry about that anymore. I do say be careful wherever you two go."

Wangji nodded, "Xiongzhang, since we reached the proper age, can we discuss marriage plans when we return home?"

Lan Xichen smiled, "of course, you two have been very patient about the marriage. If we can, maybe we can plan something within six months. It's a good enough time for us to send out invites and order robes for you both. Then again, if you want to wait a bit we can. I don't think we should do anything unless it's at least past three months because we need some preparation time."

"Six months is fine with me," Wuxian said, "if Shufu agrees we can plan something."

"Alright, we can discuss it when we get home," Xichen said, "I say you rest for a few more days and then we ask Wen Qing if you are up for traveling. Once we get you home, our healers can take over...plus you can use the cold spring to help you heal more."

Wuxian nodded and let out a yawn, "okay."

"Are you tired?" Wangji asked.

"I don't know how, I've been asleep for a week," Wuxian said.

"It's not only the medicine Wen Qing has you taking but you are still a bit fatigued from being asleep for so long. You should continue to rest if you can," Wangji told him.

"You won't leave?" Wuxian asked.

"Only to relieve myself and then come back. Otherwise I will not leave," Wangji said.

Wuxian giggled, "did you need to go?"

"No," Wangji replied. Without another word, Wuxian just hid his face into Wangji's neck. Lan Xichen had decided to leave the two alone for now. He was at least relieved to see that Wuxian was awake now.

Wangji could tell that Wuxian was starting to drift off to sleep again. Wangji just wrapped his arms further around Wuxian and laid there with him. His mind was now at ease now. Wuxian was awake and he was alive. He and Wuxian would marry within six months if everything goes according to plan. Now that the Wens were no longer a problem, Wangji hoped that everything will settle down soon...though there was still the issue with the Jin sect but that is something the other sect leaders and the new chief can discuss.

After a few days, Wuxian was doing a lot better and was able to get up and move around. Since Sect Leader Jiang was still around, Wuxian avoided leaving his room. Wangji would at least open his window to let fresh air in for Wuxian. Since Wuxian was able to move around, Wen Qing said he was okay enough to travel back home. She just advised not to overwhelm himself.

So it was later in the evening when everyone was in their rooms, that Wuxian and Wangji set off. To keep Wuxian's energy level up, he rode on Bichen with Wangji. They figured it was a better option to let Wangji carry him for now instead of letting Wuxian fly and use up his energy. That energy could be used elsewhere and to help him continue to heal. Once they were at the nearby town, they stayed at an inn for the night before heading home.

When they reached Cloud Recesses, Wangji took Wuxian straight to their infirmary to get checked over by one of their healers. Wuxian was healing well and was able to be back at the Jingshi with Wangji. Wangji would help tend to his wounds as they still needed healing. He even brought him to the cold spring to meditate for a while.

"I hate how cold this is," Wuxian complained.

"It's to help you heal, I know it is uncomfortable for you but please try to bare it," Wangji told him.

Wuxian nodded and sat down in the water. He managed to meditate for a little while but the cold soon became too much. Wangji felt that fifteen minutes was fine. It was enough to get some effects from the spring. Wangji would then take Wuxian home and cuddle with him to help warm him up. Wuxian would sit balled up in Wangji's lap just taking in Wangji's body heat.

"Did you want a bath to warm up?" Wangji asked.

"No, I don't want to move," Wuxian told him, "you are so comfortable."

Wangji chuckled, "alright, I just wanted to help you warm up more...are you hungry?"

"I'm getting there but I'm okay for now," Wuxian said.

"It is close to dinner time if you want to go eat," Wangji suggested, "when we get back you can cuddle with me all you want."

"Okay," Wuxian said. The two then went to the dining hall to eat. Just as Wangji promise, Wuxian went back to cuddling with him when they returned to the Jingshi.
