Continuing from the last chapter.

After turning on the voice recording on my phone I pulled the chain off the door. "Josh can we please talk. I won't drug you or shoot you okay?" I took a deep breath unlocking the door and opening it. "Fine but I swear to god if you do any of that shit." She walked inside as she was still in the same outfit as she looked at me as she tried to pull me into a kiss as I pushed her away. "I still want you Josh. I know I shot you but I still love-" I shook my head crossing my arms giving her this pissed off look. "No I don't want you anymore. You shot me and drugged me when I was at my lowest! Plus the shit you pulled years ago and blaming me for your brother's death?! I was high when I said that to him years ago on shrooms." I said placing my phone on the kitchen counter so it would hear her better.

"But Josh you came back for me and I know you were high! Everyone in the school knew that you were the shy kid on drugs. And you will never speak of my brother again got it?!" I scoffed smiling a little bit. "I didn't come back for you! I went to that place to be alone not for you sweetheart. Also they fucking forced me to say that shit or they would kick me out of that group which is where I would get my fix at the time. I didn't want to say that to your brother at all, as I also had thoughts of ending it back then." I said leaning against the counter looking at her as I kept trying to hear for sirens or anything.

"Do not call me sweetheart." She said stepping closer to me as I saw her reaching for something from her pocket as I backed up a bit tempted to reach for the gun in my pants. "Then don't drug me up and shoot me because of something that wasn't even my fault! I didn't make him jump off the bridge! That was his doing not mine so get that through your thick skull Carolina! Stop blaming me for everything then taking your anger out on me!" She stepped a bit closer as I started hearing some sirens coming down the block as I grabbed the gun out of my jeans under my top aiming it at her. "Step back now." I gave her this serious look as she pulled out her gun as well aiming it at me.

"Oh you want to play that card? I wasn't going to drug you baby." I scoffed rolling my eyes. "Oh please then what were you grabbing from your pocket? I saw the needle before you came in your back pocket. I'm not that stupid to let you do that to me again." That's when I heard someone run into the apartment as she turned around firing at whoever it was as it was Matt. "What the fuck?! Why'd you shoot Matt?!" I dropped my gun running over to him as he was shot in the stomach. "I-I thought he was a cop..." That's when I saw her get pinned to the ground by some cops as I put my hands over Matt's wound to try and stop the bleeding.

"Matt?! Please wake up." He started opening his eyes as he started coughing up some blood as some paramedics ran over to us as one of them took over the compression against the wound as they shoved me back as I backed up to the kitchen in tears. "Sir could you answer some of our questions please?" An officer said to me as I nodded turning off the voice recording and walking with him into my office as I paced around in tears just worrying about Matt and everything that happened.

"What is your name sir and are you okay?" I sighed shaking my head as I was freaking out. "Josh Ramsay and no my best friend just got shot and I almost got drugged again so no I'm not okay." That's when another officer came into the room holding some evidence bags. "Sir could you explain what happened and why there's two guns?" I nodded sitting down in my desk chair biting my lip. "When I was in Vegas with Carolina, she gave me one for protection. I only had it with me for protection, I would never in a million years ever think to hurt my friend." I started to worry if they thought I did it. "Sir the gun that was by where you were standing isn't registered to you, it's registered to no one actually. So tell me again where did you get the gun?" Oh for fucks sake, she didn't register the gun?! "I got the gun from her in the hotel in Vegas five days ago! I didn't shoot him! She turned around and shot him when she heard the door slam and I couldn't react in time! Please believe me!" I said as one of the officers made a signal for me to stand up so I stood up.
