A few weeks later...

After about a month healing in the hospital with Leo I was finally discharged and back home recovering. So far my voice has almost completely healed, but the singing parts have a bit more to come. Since we got back Matt's been staying with me to help out with the kid since Amanda is still in the mental facility. But today I'm actually going up to see her and to just see if she's okay as I haven't seen or spoken to her since the accident with the wires. I was standing at my dresser picking out a top as Matt poked his head into the room. "Hey you almost ready for the drive?" I sighed nodding putting on a top. "Yeah so um do you know how mentally stable she is?" He nodded leaning against the door frame. "They've been sending me updates since you've been in the hospital and she's um hit and miss most days. Ever since she snapped a month ago she's been in a state of depression and anger. But they're gonna be watching you from a secret room so it's not a decent idea to bring Leo into the room but we gotta bring the little guy anyways but it's just to let you know what's going on." I sighed brushing my hair back into a little bun as I grabbed my phone off the charger.

"Yeah probably not a decent idea to bring a baby into the room but are you sure I'm the person to try to get through to her? Cause well she did try to kill me a month ago." I said leaning against the dresser as he nodded. "Well she's on medications Josh but if she tries anything they've got you protected." I rolled my eyes putting on a hoodie looking into the mirror as my neck scar was still pretty prominent. "Also you look good now come on we gotta get Leo into his car seat and his formula if he needs it." I sighed walking into his nursery changing his bandages for his scar that's healing still. So far the surgery he got worked and it hasn't shown back up yet. I'm still hating myself for giving him this stupid gene. "There we go and it's healing up well isn't it? You're doing so good. Now we're going to see mommy but I gotta see if she's able to see you." I smiled picking him up and walking out to the living area bouncing him in my arms.

"Alright bottles are in the bag and extra diapers and all that stuff. Is he all good to go?" Matt said smiling walking over tickling his leg which made him giggle a little which was so adorable. "Yeah he's all ready to go and his wound is almost healed just another week." I smiled placing him into his car seat as he instantly cried out as he loved being held. "I know I'm sorry you'll be okay. Matt can you pass me his pacifier please?" He tossed me his pacifier as I placed it into his mouth giving him his teddy that mom got for him when he was born. "Thanks and shhh everything is okay." He started to stop being so upset over being put into the car as I stood back up wrapping my arms around myself again. "You ready to go?" I sighed nodding picking up the carrier carrying it to the car and placing it into the backseat securing it all.

Not gonna lie I am not ready mentally to face Amanda at all. But I guess I need to face her to figure out why she basically snapped. "Before we face her what's going on in your mind? I know you go all quiet when you're thinking." Man he really does know me way too well. "What if we don't get the answers we need from this? What if she tries to do something? It's nothing important I'm just overthinking this situation." I said getting into the drivers seat pulling up the address on the gps as I started to drive to where she's being held at. "I've got you Josh, there's no need to overthink anything." He said with a soft voice placing his hand on my hand on the gear shift and I didn't pull away as I did like it.

After pulling up to the place and parking we started walking into the place as there was this whole security check in for people seeing people on mental lockup. I handed Matt the carrier and taking off my belt as I walked over to where they scan you for anything metal. Weirdly enough it was going off...right my leg. "Oh it's just my prosthetic. Did you need me to take it off?" The officer nodded as I kneeled down taking it off rolling my eyes watching him basically look through the leg. "Okay it's all clear please follow the doctor and have a nice day." I sighed putting the leg back on and placing the visitor badge on the outside of my hoodie and putting my belt on walking over to the doctor and placing Leo's carrier into his stroller as he was fast asleep. "Hello you must be Josh her boyfriend?" I nodded smiling a small smile. "Yes I'm Josh it's nice to meet you." She led me down the hallway as I let Matt take over pushing the stroller. "Now let's speak about her before you go in and see her okay?" Weird cause Matt told me basically everything he knows? She led us over into an office as I sat down as she also sat down looking up at me.
